Big Brother 2013 Spoilers: Aaryn Gries Fired From Modeling Agency
|Sometimes you just can’t run your mouth and say hateful things while the cameras are rolling on you, otherwise you might have some consequences to pay for your actions and Aaryn Gries will find that out when she leaves the Big Brother 15 house (which is hopefully sooner rather than later). In some new Big Brother 2013 spoilers, Zephyr Talent, the agency that Aaryn had a modeling contract through, has let her go based on the statements Aaryn has made during her time on Big Brother 2013! Karma is a bitch, isn’t it?
The issues revolve around the racist comments that have come from Aaryn (and other houseguests) during the Live Feeds and Aarryn, a 22-year-old college student from Texas, doesn’t even seem to think what she has said is wrong. The modeling agency that has represented Aaryn went to their Facebook page last night and released this statement:
Aaryn, season 15 cast member of Big Brother, revealed prejudices and other beliefs that we (Zephyr Talent) do not condone. We certainly find the statements made by Aaryn on the live Internet feed to be offensive. Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by Aaryn, either on any live feed from the House or during the broadcast, are hers alone and do not represent the views or opinions of Zephyr Talent. Upon much consideration, we have decided to release Aaryn from her contract with Zephyr Talent.
Anyone else absolutely love this statement and the actions taken by the agency? Well, don’t expect the same from CBS. They have come out and said that the statements are “offensive” and that is it. Well, duh CBS. We all know they are offensive, but can some consequences be taken for her actions? Some kind of penalty?

Apparently these Big Brother 2013 houseguests are free to do whatever they want, as seen in the Live Feeds last night with Jeremy. These people are young and dumb. Props to the modeling agency for taking the high road, now if only CBS could follow suit!

Where did CBS get these people? This girl has to be one of the worst EVER on BB (including Evil Dick)! There are so few of the houseguests this year to root for. Sad! Ms. Chen being a producer better do a better job of screening. Aaryn deserves to lose the job and how much of her has been surgically enhanced???
Tell me about it! Evil Dick wasn’t a racist. He was a bully, but in last night’s show after David was evicted it wasn’t “quiet;” there were so many curse words going on that they had the sound turned of for well over 2 minutes! The one that really scares me is Spencer. I’m telling you people, he’s a white supremacist.
Did all or you come out against the black witness who called white people crackers? I wasn’t offended by it. If she has those views, so be it. You can only be offended if you choose to be offended.
If a white person was to be offended by the name “crackers” they would be called a racist.
Politically correct people should get a life. The Constitution gives people the right to express opinion. Good for Aaryn.
btw.. I am so offended by the flat bill caps all the young people wear these days.
okay so what she says is offensive to some viewers – who cares people – she has a right to voice her opinions and her views – why should she have to hide them. I dont’ understand – if you don’t like what is being said “mute” the television – seriously people – everyone should have a right to say what they want – people do not or should not be told they Have to Like someone and YOU MUST speak nice about someone – why?? – everyone thinks differently and have their own opinions. If i don’t like something that someone says – “oh well” not a big deal. People fly off the handle way to fast now a days.
Yeah, she has every right to voice her opinions and not like someone. Aaryn did just that and the modeling agency put her on mute big time!
why not ask paula dean. she was thrown under a bus for something she said 27 years ago. i’ve heard the n word many times as a kid by my own family members. but made it a point not to say it myself. that was my choice
She has the right to speak as she chooses, and did. The company that he represents also has the right to let her go….I think they made the right decision.
@moringwitch…. Did you just get on people for saying what they think, by saying it was OK for Aaryn to say what she said because she has that right, I guess you would just say “what ever” if I started talking bad about your mother. Yes everyone has the right to say what they want, But what people forget is that they have to stand and be accountable for there words
I agree that people should not be told what to do or say or how to think. Personal freedoms are important. We are not REQUIRED to speak nice about someone or all have the same opinion. BUT – with those personal freedoms comes personal responsibility. If you’re willing to verbally judge someone based on race or sexuality then you have to accept the consequences when your views are challenged. Say what you want but don’t be surprised when you find out that the rest of society has moved on from that antiquated way of thinking and has decided that hate speech is no longer acceptable.
Well said! I totally agree with You!
While I agree that everyone has “freedom of speech” options, a little commonsense and decency should be considered before making hurtful statements regarding race, political views or whatever. Everyone is proud of their beliefs and race and will feel offended when they feel challenged. Also, Aaryn’s rude statements can damage the reputation of the talent agency she works for if people do feel offended, so they had no other option but to let her go, while Aaryn had the option to keep her nasty comments to herself. The only one to blame her is Aaryn. She took her freedom of speech too far.
This season is going to ruin the Big Brother show and CBS should know that. Who wouldn’t be in trouble if you listened to them talk uncensored for awhile. Half of the stuff we spew is dopey talk, no harm meant. Everything you say offends someone. I feel bad for the people in the house like Aaryn.
It would be nice if CBS did the same thing but they are all about ratings and nothing gets you ratings more than racial slurs and nudity. 2 thumbs DOWN CBS!!
Well…freedom of speech is one thing…but this is so wrong people have the right to say what they want but this is hurtful to fellow house guests who keep in mind are the ones who vote who wins that 500,000. It is very bad the things that have been said the model agency has a right to fire her certain behaviors are required as part of the contracts they sign she is now a liability they did right with letting her go…if she makes it to the end (which I doubt) karma will bite her twice..you are in this house with people you may not like to much but hell keep those kinds of things to yourself or vent in the diary room….I just hope these ignorant people don’t ruin the show….
Can someone explain why she should be penalized by BB for these statements? Because she’s bad and said bad things? Give me a break. Another HG said that he admired hitler’s speaking ability…should he be punished too? Where’s the line…
I do not think she should be penalized at all by BB for saying what she thinks – it is her opinions her choice of words her freedom to speak and express her point of view. I am not saying that the modeling company did anything wrong – they have their choice to make as well. Society is to much on this “politically correct” stuff and they have created Whiners everywhere. Don’t say that / can’t say this. I should (and so should anyone else) be able to say what I or they want without someone whining.
“Sticks and stones will break my bones but Names will never hurt me”
I’ve notice that nobody has mentioned the other consequences of openly running your mouth on the feeds. Sure, the person spewing the socially unacceptable language will suffer a loss of reputation and respect by many of the people who might have otherwise been “cheering” them on. They may suffer the loss of a job or contract, or ruin their chance of future opportunities. BUT…what about the family, spouses, & children of these people? Do you think they do not suffer from the embarrassment of such behavior? How many of you would be proud to say “Yes! That 23 yr old man who just wiped his ass on another houseguest’s hat, is my son!” or “You better believe that girl who throws around the racial slurs is my daughter!” There are so many people in this world who are crazy enough to threaten their families in retaliation for those actions! For this reason, I think it is the network’s responsibility to make some kind of effort to put an end to use of certain words. People are going to believe what they believe, so you’re not going to change who they are…but you can remind them how their actions affect others.
Personally, I think CBS continuing with her there is fine. (It keeps the houseguests unaffected and without race on their mind the rest of the season.
I also think the modeling agency dropping her is fine. I wouldnt want to represent her.
No way she gets $500,000. If she makes it…As soon as the jurors get to the jury house they’ll know and she’ll have wasted her summer. Consider this her trial before sentencing. She’s screwed.
I live in Texas and this story just came on our local news…lol. I am sitting there watching the News and Aaryns face pops up and the commentary is something about how she has made racist remarks on the BB show, lost her modeling job. CBS did make a comment but I was too busy dialing my phone to call people to watch I didnt hear what they said, I will see if I can find it
Keep us informed Kat. I’m curious as to how Texans view her remarks. Do you live in or near her home town?
Aaryn has the right to voice her opinions, and prejudices, no doubt. And, her employer has the right to fire her. They may even have some kind of a morality clause in her contract stating as a representative of their company she needs to conduct herself in a certain manner, blah blah blah. I do not think CBS or BB should give a penalty however. The houseguests need to be able to be their true selves without censorship; however, I DO think the houseguests “true selves” should be broadcast in primetime since part of the competition this year includes a weekly popular vote for MVP. On a personal note, I’m a white, middleclass female and her slurs offend me but mostly I feel sorry for her ignorance. It’s probably inherent.
What happened to the saying
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words will never hurt me!
This girl got what she deserved, period.
BB Producers made the right decision to let the contestants by who they are. But, the racial comments should have been aired on CBS. This is information the viewers needed to know when determining the MVP each week going forward.
Since Paula Deen was released from Food Network for saying the n word then this girl should be removed from the show.
You don’t get it (you’re not the only one). CBS doesn’t need to take action. The employers of these people are already taking action. People will react to them when they get off the show. They will get their punishment that you are desperate for them to get. Just give it time.
Ayron and Ginamarie should be kicked off BB 15 for racists remarks. It,s not fair to put Paula Deen on all the papers and news and not these two. They are also on tv , it does not matter if it is reality tv or not, it should not be tolerated . Also worst cast ever for Big Brother!!
aayron should be taken off the show.kicked off.her ways make her a very ugly person.
AAYRON SHOULD BE KICKED OFF THE SHOW.SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL GIRL,BUT HER WAYS MAKES HER LOOK VERY UGLY.SO SAD.
Aaryn is an idiot! She just said,”no one is going to have respect for me because what fucking Candice said,” on After Dark. Aaryn is doing a good enough job herself tarnishing her reputation. She doesn’t need anyone’s help. The sad thing is that Aaryn is so ignorant that she doesn’t have any idea that the things that come out of her mouth are offensive!
Well, all I got to say is get a life politically correct people. I am so OFFENDED by all the flat bill caps everyone wears.
whoever chose these idiots should be FIRED!
