Big Brother 2014 Live Recap: Week 4 Elimination and HoH Comp
|We all know how this elimination on Big Brother 2014 tonight is going to go, so can we rush right through things and start the HoH competition for Week 5 please? Julie Chen returns and we have the HGs voting to evict another member of the Big Brother 16 cast, but then the real fun begins. The Week 5 battle for the two HoH spots and we all are hoping for a change to mess with this system! Week 4 seemed to start and end with the same target, but there were some interesting moments along the way. We saw some of those moments last night on Big Brother 16, especially when Brittany drew the HG Choice chip for the Veto Competition and picked Caleb as her choice. CBS failed to show us Brittany and Amber planning all morning to work together to keep Brittany around, but then Brittany picking Caleb instead of an ally in Amber??? Either way, the week ended with Brittany and our man Donny on the block!

With that being said, we have a vote tonight and we made our predictions earlier. We also had our weekly Big Brother poll and both are leaning towards a certain HG. See if we are correct and see the battle for the two new HoHs, which is crucial for this upcoming week. The Live Recap follows!

Here we go…will leaving Caleb in the game come back to hurt Cody? We go back to the Veto Meeting and the emotions are high. Brittany did not want to be up next to him and the only one she didn’t want to be up against. Cody is in the HoH room and a crying mess! He is so pissed and doesn’t think he deserves to be on the block, but he does know he controlled the decision, right? Of course, Frankie is saying it was the best move he could have done. Cody said he will kick Frankie in the nuts next week if Caleb puts him on the block. Then Frankie goes to Donny and said he is safe and not to worry.
Derrick talks with Donny and said he has his vote and he thinks someone is behind Cody’s decision and thinks Derrick is the King Pin! Now Cody and Donny talk and Donny is trying to get info from Cody, but he is not getting anything. Donny is worried he could go home, but everyone says he is safe. Brittany is trying to campaign and she thinks the best person to do so with is Beast Mode Cowboy because he holds weight with others. If both of them only knew!
Now Caleb is in the HoH room and trying to fight for Brittany to stay and Donny could be a big threat to the Bomb Squad, even though Caleb doesn’t know that the Bomb Squad is fizzled!
Time for the Kleenex, as Frankie will learn about his grandpa! A beautiful letter from his mother and it is such an emotional time. I am a hot mess right now and it is a touching moment for Frankie and his family.
Julie heads into the house to chat with the HGs. She gives her condolences to Frankie. Caleb said he has things to take care of at home and that is why he took the cash. Zach is glad to be going to Germany and glad no one took it from him. Cody said putting up a renom was the hardest part of being the HoH. Julie announces the Have Nots are based on the laziest HGs from their activity trackers this week. The Have Nots are Nicole, Caleb, Christine and Derrick! If they win HoH, then they will not be a Have Not any more.
Now we look at the showmance between Hayden and Nicole and his attempts to flirt with her. We head to Nicole’s family in Michigan (props to my home state)! Her brother would rather her bring home the $500,000 then Hayden. Her Mom wants her to marry a farmer! Her Dad is watching closely. We see that first kiss between them and it is cute. I like them!
Back to the living room and time for the live vote on Big Brother 2014! Brittany said it has been a great journey and she never gave up. She did the soccer kicks to show she wanted to be there and Donny was by her side the whole time. Donny gives a wink to his girlfriend and says there is a special place in his heart for each HG! Time for the vote:
- Jocasta (sadly) votes to evict Brittany
- Nicole votes to evict Brittany
- Hayden votes to evict Brittany
- Amber (sadly) votes to evict Brittany
- Derrick (sadly) votes to evict Brittany
- Caleb (sadly) votes to evict Brittany
- Christine votes to evict Brittany
- Victoria (happily) votes to evict Brittany
- Zach votes to evict Brittany
- Frankie votes to evict Brittany
In another unanimous vote, Brittany has been eliminated on Big Brother 16 tonight! Zach said bye Brit, see you never! Brittany tells Julie that people are scared and some of the girls are weak players. She thought Caleb and the guys are strong and controlling. She says her feet are disgusting and nasty! We will see Donny’s away message every week. Brittany then gets emotional being away from her kids and Julie surprises her with her kids…how cute!
HOH COMPETITION: It is called “Country Hits” and they will face-off in pairs and hear a country song that represents a HoH, PoV or Battle of the Block competition. Answer right and you survive and pick next two that compete. Get it wrong and eliminated.
Round 1 – Christine is correct, so Hayden is eliminated
Round 2 – Donny is correct, so Jocasta is eliminated!
Round 3 – Frankie is correct, so Caleb is eliminated
Round 4 – Amber is correct, so Victoria is eliminated
Round 5 – Derrick is correct, so Donny is eliminated (DANG IT)!!!
Round 6 – Zach is correct, so Nicole is eliminated
Round 7 – Christine is correct, so Amber is eliminated
Round 8 – Frankie is correct, so Derrick is eliminated (Derrick didn’t try and let Frankie win and get to see a picture of his grandpa). Frankie is the first HoH of Week 5.
Final Round – Zach is correct and he is the second HoH for Week 5. He could make it interesting!!!
Derrick did throw the competition and Frankie thanks him. Zach can’t wait for his letter and to see a picture of his little brother.
TEAM AMERICA MISSION: They will be playing puppet master and try to get two HGs to fight at Nominations Ceremony or Veto Meeting!

Tommy, I had the same thought–he doesn’t have to make any open decisions but remains the puppet master.
Derrick did not sacrifice anything. He knows Frankie will do what Derrick wants. Frankie ran to Derrick all week telling him everything. That gesture is like a billionaire give $1000 to a charity. Big deal!
So which of Frankie or Zach will WANT to make the final nominations? (Still think only the final HoH should get the photos and rewards….)
I agree, Lilly. And I think Frankie would probably have gotten some more messages from his family in the diary room even if he were not HOH.
I think they both will want to. I’m just hoping Frankie doesn’t play the sympathy card. Of course he could be so grateful for just receiving the pic of his Grandfather that he lets Zach have all the honors.
They just decided that Zach will make the final noms. So Zach is thinking of voting Jocasta and Victoria. Frankie will nom Hayden and….?
I want Zach to win BOB. I think at the very least he will make it interesting.
Soooooooooo disappointed. Praying that Zach has just an ounce of courage and doesn’t just do Derrick’s bidding. Not holding out much hope however. Sighs.
Zach is the type to do his own thing…..then regret it later. I just hope he does his own thing…..and to he*l with later.
He might have his own plan and thinks it will work, but once he tells Derrick, Cody, or Frankie, they will shoot it down and make up his mind for him…..I would like to see two HOHs that don’t get along win and see what happens….I like the challenge they got this week, but it could turn out to be not such a big deal……Also a random thought, they should do TA, but only two or three weeks after the show starts so we can see who does what in the game first.

To all the Donny fans I say congratulations. As I predicited, Donny was not going home. However Donny needs to get into an alliance soon, or else he will be a target again. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but you have to understand that Derrick & Frankie did not come to big brother so that they can finish 2nd & 3rd behind Donny. THEY CAME TO WIN!!! If that means making Donny the target then that is just part of the game. Let’s not hate for playing a good game. Yes, cheer for Donny.!! But don’t hate Derrick & Frankie for playing a good game.
Hopefully Zack will have more common sense than Cody.
