Big Brother 2014 Spoilers: Britney Haynes Gives Update On Baby Tilly! (PHOTOS)
|It was so hard to hear Britney Haynes from Big Brother 12 and Big Brother 14 announce that her daughter Tilly was diagnosed with cancer and to see the struggle they went through. Britney captured the journey on her blog Together for Tilly, which kept us all in the loop. It has been a while since the last update from Britney, but she is back and has some amazing news on Baby Tilly! Check out photos of the adorable Tilly and the news in my Big Brother 2014 spoilers below!
Britney went to her blog to give us an update and four months after treatment is finished, she has nothing but good news to report on Baby Tilly:
“Tilly was diagnosed at 8 weeks old and I had forgotten what it was like to have a baby without all of those things in the mix. It took a while, but I think here at 4 months out of treatment things are starting to settle more. We had our first set of post-treatment scans and they looked great. We still see our doctors every few weeks and have physical therapy twice a week, but this slower schedule is starting to become normal for us. I have started to realize that I can just live – albeit very attentively- and that IS being active in taking care of Tilly. I have channeled my nervous energy in other ways and tried to not let cancer be my life anymore. It will always be a part of our lives, and certainly something I will always have in the back of my mind, but I am tired of letting it define us and own every minute of my day.”
As far as Baby Tilly goes, she is almost nine months old and being a baby:
“She is happy, babbling, playing, and just doing normal baby things all day. She has two teeth and I am afraid she is working on the top two at this moment! Her hair has gotten so long and thick! It isn’t the color that it was when she was born anymore, much lighter. She is obsessed with books and LOVES turning the pages. She is so curious and into everything. She has the biggest smile with big dimples in both cheeks – just like her mom! And we can already see she has a touch of drama – just like her dad. “
We are so happy for Britney and Baby Tilly and wish them only the best as the journey continues on a cancer-free life! Check out the photos in my Big Brother 2014 spoilers here:

I’m tickled to death for Britney and her family! I can’t even imagine the stress and fear they have been through….
Wow, Todd, I’ll bet you were happy to report good news here – that NONE of us can complain about! 🙂
Have a GREAT Thursday, everyone!
Hi Lilly I agree 100%. Thanks Todd. Cancer is a horrible thing in any family, much less a new born. Best wishes to Britney and her family.
Haha I was thinking that!!! This has nothing to do with BB15, so this should make them all happy….for a change lol
Indeed Todd!!! And such wonderful news for Britney, such a blessing!
Just a suggestion to anyone watching BB C2, to watch the “Side Show” that directly follows BB and it’s only a half hour but so good. It is 2 contestants from BB C1 interviewing the people as they are evicted this year. They are doing a great job and it’s very entertaining 🙂
No sorry Mary. Did you see survivor it was awesome at tribal councel
I saw Survivor last night and thought it was excellent. I love challenges like the one they had. Plus tribal was indeed awesome. Just as i was losing interest they stepped it up. Now my interest is peaked again.
Britneys baby is quite a cutie. I have a soft spot in my heart for babies and animals. Two of the things in this world that are helpless and vulnerable. It’s always uplifting to see them thrive and survive. Tilly is a good example of the fact that even the smallest among us have lessons to teach us. Strength comes in all sizes.
Well said Cat
I know this show is staged somewhat for effect, so I’ve always hated the times when they’d try film it like there was a chance someone might flip or a certain person wasn’t going home. (They do the same thing on BB.) And then the vote was unanimous and no one has any guts to do anything. It was refreshing to be shocked for a change! I’m not sure Kass did the smart thing, but I’m tickled to death Sarah is gone. The only one I wanted out more was Tony. But they really pulled the wool over our eyes when Jefra was “the other one”! Except when they were arguing between Kass and Sarah, I thought they’d decided to take out LJ if Tony played an idol.
And LJ was pretty decent to play that idol for Tony. I think he honestly felt bad thinking Tony might go home playing his idol to save a man who already had an idol. He earned MAJOR brownie points with Tony and maybe the others.
LJ is still my favorite, but I’m afraid Tony and Trish and some other person will wind up in the end, and I just won’t care very much.
Still, gotta admit this season has been unusual!
I didn’t mind seeing Sarah get the boot, although I was hoping Tony would go home (I’m glad he wasted the idol). I don’t dislike Tony, it’s just that he,s such a strong player & stands in the way of my favorites. Kass, on the other hand is now my least favorite player. Because of her selfishness (her need to be the queen bee), she threw her allies under the bus & put herself in the most precarious position in the game. Right now, all she can do is ride coat tails. Unless she sees something that I can’t, she just made the dumbest move in the game so far (J’Tai’s rice dumping didn’t give her the boot).
I did see Survivor and yes, it was awesome. It was great to see Sarah voted off. I just hate it when players in any game say “I’m running this game”. She’s the first one on the Jury. I can’t believe it, it seems like it just started.
Last night on Idol was not fair, when it was CJ’s turn to sing, he got cut off with the Fort Hood shooting special alert. If he is voted out I will be upset because America did not see him sing but maybe one verse.
I loved survivor, happy Sarah is gone but think Kass made a bad move. Now she is 6th of the 6 where she could have been final 3 with the brains if they stuck tight…not too smart. Does make good drama!
Looking forward to live eviction tonight!
Mary, I watch the side show…love it! most. days I like it better then the actual BB show itself.
Hope you are all well.
Mary sorry to hear about your losses. My condolences go out to you and prayers there is no 3.
It’s almost FRIDAY!!!!
Also happy that Brit’s baby is doing good.
Wish me luck this Sunday…running a bus trip to the casino to raise money with my Relay For Life team to benefit the American Cancer Society!
Will check in with ya’ll tomorrow…..hope it’s Sabrina to go tonight!
JO1, Way to go buddy !!! Raising money for the American Cancer Society, I wish you and The Relay For Life team best of luck!!! Win lots of money.
Ditto. Very nice. Good luck for sure!
My thoughts and best wishes are with you for Sunday. What a wonderful, WONDERFUL thing you are doing!
J01 God bless you for helping with American Cancer Society. My husband has cancer are we are very active in that here in SC. Thank you for all your help. WIN BIG, and TY
You’re right JO1. Kass is now just a tool to be manipulated by everyone else. That should keep her in the game for awhile, but she,s toast somewhere along the line.
Britney she is just adorable!
Melissa, she certainly is! And how cute is that baby… I wish them all the best.
I am so glad Heather won HOH! I think a lot of the houseguests misjudge here. The letter she got from her boyfriend Will was so touching, one of the best ever. And of course that annoying Sabrina, is up in her HOH room telling her what to do. PLEASE, Heather, don’t listen to her!!!
Heather seems to be as smart as she is sweet, so I don’t think she will let Sabrina manipulate her HOH decisions as she manipulated Rachelle’s.
TGIF Here is your morning funny, have a great weekend everyone.
Be Nice to Nurses
When you’re hospitalized, it pays to be nice to your nurse, even when you’re feeling miserable. A bossy businessman learned this the hard way after ordering his nurses around as if they were his employees. But the head nurse stood up to him. One morning she entered his room and announced, “I have to take your temperature.”
After complaining for several minutes, he finally settled down, crossed his arms and opened his mouth. “No, I’m sorry,” the nurse stated,” but for this reading, I can’t use an oral thermometer.” This started another round of complaining, but eventually he rolled over and bared his bottom. After feeling the nurse insert the thermometer, he heard her announce, “I have to get something. Now you stay just like that until I get back!” She left the door to his room open on her way out, and he cursed under his breath as he heard people walking past his door laughing. After almost an hour, the man’s doctor came into the room.
“What’s going on here?” asked the doctor. Angrily, the man answers, “What’s the matter, Doc? Haven’t you ever seen someone having their temperature taken?”
“Yes,” said the doctor. “But never with a carnation.”
Love it Carol! I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend as well 🙂
TY Mary
Carol, I’m not too savvy on all the word short forms, could you tell me what TY stands for?
Sure sorry about that it is Thank You
Ohhh! YW (you’re welcome).
I liked Britney a lot when she was on BB. She was one of my favorites. A real nice person. So I was especially saddened to hear of her plight. I lost my son when he was 12 & I loved him more than I’ve ever & will ever love anyone, so it’s real easy to cry for her & real easy for me to ask you all to pray for her & her baby. So please, please , pray for them because wonderful things can come from prayer & because she’s a wonderful person. Thanks.
I am so very sorry for your loss garyr. No one, no matter what, should have to go through that. My prayers and blessings are with you and anyone who may have to endure such pain.
garyr, you are definitely in my prayers. My brother died at the age of 44 with brain cancer. My mother said it didn’t seem right that a parent should bury their child. In the normal scheme of things, i suppose she was right. She died a month after he did. In my estimation…from a broken heart. Time is not guaranteed for anyone. The only thing we can do is live each day as if it were our last. And love those around us as if it were theirs.
Yes Cat, your Mom probably did go from a broken heart. So sorry for you & your Mom. Your last two sentences are absolutely so right on. And we need to remind ourselves that there are always others who are worse off than ourselves. Pray for Britney & her baby.
My brother died when he was 41. Like your Mother Cat, my Mom never got over it and she died a year later. What you said, made me think of that song, “Live Like You’re Dying” – have you ever heard it? It’s a beautiful song.
Yes and it’s a song with words that speak the truth. In my brothers last days he wanted me there. At the time i was struggling financially. He knew this. Some of his last words to me were “Money buys you a future, but it doesn’t buy you a tomorrow.” I was packing my bags before i hung up the phone. I drove all night. When i reached the hospital i was told he had died an hour before. My biggest regret in life is i didn’t get there sooner. That will never happen again. Sorry for the morbid post guys. When someone brings up cancer or dying, my mind immediately goes to him and how i should have been holding his hand as he passed. My only consolation is i got to tell him i loved him before he died. One of the hardest lessons in life to learn is that time is not infinite, but love is. Maybe i’m sharing too much. Cancer is just a subject i know all too much about.
For me, no, you are not sharing too much at all Cat. We came on this site complaining (well mostly complaining) about all the people on BB and wow, I truly never expected to become connected with such a wonderful, caring group of people. There is so much more to all our lives and it is so comforting to know you all care so much as do I. Best wishes to everyone – my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Wow. I’ve read all your comments with tears in my eyes. Gary, you are soooo right. Most of my problems in life have been severe financial stress – which I know is much less important than losing a loved one – but when you’re going through those (and clinical depression for a short time), it can feel like you’re drowning.
My point (and I don’t mean to make this about me) is that during those highly stressful times I often would thank God that those WERE my crosses to bear. I would say, “I could be sitting at a loved one’s bedside PRAYING that my only problems were financial.” I’m so grateful for the loved ones in my life. Though I did lose my father to a non-cancer disease when I was 6 years old, I have been blessed to not lose anyone close to me to cancer in my adult life.
I’m so sorry for all of your losses. Thank you for sharing – and reminding me again what I have. And God bless you all.
Thank you Lilly. We all have Crosses bear for sure.
Dear friends,
I would like to start with a few of my favorite quotes. “You think your pain and heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read.”
“Nothing renews my faith in humanity more than the exchange of compassion so profound that mere words cannot embrace it.”
“The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depth. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity and an understanding of a life that fills them with compassion, gentleness and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.” My dear friends YOU are very, very beautiful people!. You are and always will be in my thoughts, my prayers and my heart. May the Lord bless you and shine his light upon you!!!
Quotes:
1)James Baldwin
2) Tiffany Madison
3) Elisabeth Kubler
3) Elisabeth Kubler Ross
3)Elisabeth Kubler Ross
Oops, sorry for the double posting of Elisabeth Kubler Ross!! Yes (j) that’s me too, I wish you all my wonderful friends God’s love.
Ok, on a much lighter note :), Amanda has tweeted that she is coming Canada and implicating that she will visit the BBC house. Probably to host a comp? Get your barf bags ready. Also Anick has tweeted that she has a big secret and implying it has something to do with BBC. All these secretive tweets from former HGs are unnerving. But a bit interesting.
EXCITTING!!! Thanks Cat for the update! Woohoo, can’t wait!
Bummer, huh? Hopefully she’s just blowing smoke.
Oh dear God BBC…., Please don’t!!!
BBC – Allison and Kenny on the block.
Are they just trying to split up the would-be couple, Cat? Or who is the target?
Kenny is the actual target. Allison is considered a strong player so the hope is she will win veto and take herself off. Heather would renom Rachelle. Although talk has turned to nomming Sarah. As long as Kenny doesn’t win veto, the plan is to vote him out.
Ok, now they’re going back and forth about putting Sabrina or Sarah on the block if a renom is called for. Either one is a good choice if you ask me. Although i would love to see Sabrina sweat for another week 🙂
Yeah Heather!! You go girl.
BBC – Kenny won veto. Unless they change their mind (again), Sarah is going up in his place.
Bummer… I soo wanted Kenny gone from the house… but any of the “First Five” will do. My goodness they are really going after the first five aren’t they?
Kennys eviction could still happen soon. Remember we have a DE this week. Anything could happen. The FF are sinking like rats on a ship. Arlie is actually the swing vote this week. He may keep the FF (now the first four) intact or he could swing to the outsiders. For now it’s looking like he will vote with the outsiders. But you never know until you see the DRs. And sometimes not even then.
Cat, you have given me hope again. I’m so glad you are here!! Now let’s hope one of the outsiders wins the next HOH and Arlie votes with them to get Kenny out.
Good morning everyone. After reading all the comments, I would like to share mine. I lost my father 4 years ago, 6 months later my mother as she mourned herself to death. I found this poem I wanted to share that I read daily as I hurt for them being gone and some of my friends. I hope you each have a great day. God Bless
The Path
You leave behind such memories
That loved ones will hold dear
They’ll take them down the path of life
Though that path may seem unclear
It’s missing that bright sunny warmth
And those skies of blue
That always seemed to be there
When they walked that path with you
Today they gather together
As you watch them from above
And learn to walk a new life path
Now lit with just your love
They start out with uncertainty
It’s not the path they knew
When they walked life’s path before
Hand in Hand with you
Your light will never really fade
It gets brighter every day
As you lead them down the path
And you show them the way
So guide them with a gentle hand
Down that Path Unknown
And help them through the twists and turns
As they make their way back home
Those last few steps may be quite hard
And difficult to bare
But the path ends at Heaven’s Gate
And they will find you there
So begin your journey today my friends
Keep pushing through the pain
He waits for you at Heaven’s Gates
And you will be together again
Good Morning Carol (and all)- I love the poem, that you for sharing. Have a good day everyone.
Good morning Mary, you do the same lady. Here is the morning funny.
Hotel Room
By the time John pulled into the little town, every hotel room was taken. “You’ve got to have a room somewhere.” he pleaded. “Or just a bed–I don’t care where.”
“Well, I do have a double room with one occupant,” admitted the manager, “and he might be glad to split the cost. But to tell you the truth, he snores so loudly that people in adjoining rooms have complained in the past. I’m not sure it’d be worth it to you.”
“No problem,” the tired traveler assured him. “I’ll take it.”
The next morning John came down to breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
The manager was impressed. “No problem with the other guy snoring, then?”
“Nope. I shut him up in no time?”
“How’d you manage that?”
“He was already in bed, snoring away. when I came in the room,” John said. “I went over, gave him a kiss on the cheek, said, ‘Goodnight, beautiful,’ and he sat up all night watching me.”
——-
I am so glad Britney’s baby Tilly is doing fine. I kept checking her website to see if there was an update and there was not. I was worried that may be bad news. I am so relieved it was not. My prayers are still with her and her family.
Gm everyone. Have a great day.
an you give me a push?
A man is in bed with his wife when there is a rat-a-tat-tat on the door.
He rolls over and looks at his clock, and it’s half past three in the morning.
“I’m not getting out of bed at this time,” he thinks, and rolls over. Then, a
louder knock follows.
“Aren’t you going to answer that?” says his wife.
So he drags himself out of bed and goes downstairs. He opens the door and
there is man standing at the door. It didn’t take the homeowner long to
realize the man was drunk.
“Hi there,” slurs the stranger. “Can you give me a push??”
“No, get lost. It’s half past three. I was in bed,” says the man and slams the
door. He goes back up to bed and tells his wife what happened and she
says, “Dave, that wasn’t very nice of you.
Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick
the kids up from the baby sitter and you had to knock on that man’s house
to get us started again? What would have happened if he’d told us to get
lost??”
“But the guy was drunk,” says the husband.
“It doesn’t matter,” says the wife. “He needs our help and it would be the
right thing to help him.” So the husband gets out of bed again, gets dressed
and goes downstairs.
He opens the door, and not being able to see the stranger anywhere he
shouts, “Hey, do you still want a push??”
And he hears a voice cry out, “Yeah, please.”
So, still being unable to see the stranger he shouts, “Where are you?”
And the stranger replies, “I’m over here, on your swing.”
A man is driving along a highway and sees a rabbit
jump out across the middle of the road.
He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately the
rabbit jumps right in front of the car.
The driver, a sensitive man as well as an animal
lover, pulls over and gets out to see
what has become of the rabbit.
Much to his dismay, the rabbit is
the Easter Bunny, and he is DEAD .
The driver feels so awful that he begins to cry.
A beautiful blonde woman driving down the highway
sees a man crying on the side of the road
and pulls over.
She steps out of the car and asks the man
what’s wrong.
“I feel terrible,” ! he explains,
“I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny with my car and KILLED HIM.”
The blonde says,”Don’t worry.”
She runs to her car and pulls out a spray can.
She walks over to the limp, dead Easter Bunny,
bends down, and sprays the contents onto him.
The Easter Bunny jumps up, waves its paw at the
two of them and hops off down the road.
Ten feet away he stops, turns around and waves
again, he hops down the road another 10 feet,
turns and waves, hops another ten feet,
turns and waves, and repeats this again and again
and again and again, until he hops out of sight.
The man is astonished.
He runs over to the woman and demands,
“What is in that can?
What did you spray on the Easter Bunny ?”
The woman turns the can around
so that the man can read the label.
It says..
(Are you ready for this?)
(You know you’re gonna be sorry)
(Last chance)
(OK, here it is)
It says,
“Hair Spray
Restores life to dead hair,
and adds Permanent Wave.”
Happy Easter!! !
