Big Brother 2014 Spoilers: Live Feeds Recap – 8/14/2014
|While it was a very disappointing night in the Big Brother 2014 house, I have high hopes that we will be in for a very fun week ahead of us on Big Brother 16. Why? Because I just don’t see this week going as smoothly as Derrick would like it to and I think someone will be walking out that door that wasn’t expecting it, like Zach was thinking last night on the Live Feeds! As we all saw last night on Big Brother 16, Nicole was evicted and joined the jury house. Frankie and Derrick won HoH for Week 8 and then the game talk started. Donny will be the target for Week 8, but then who goes up with him and who goes up on the other side of things for Battle of the Block? Of course, Zach’s name gets brought up to go up with Donny and throw the BotB comp and keep Donny on the block, but also keep Zach on the block. He agrees to it, but that changes as the night goes on.

Frankie and Derrick discuss things and Derrick convinces Frankie to let him remain HoH for the week and then Frankie can compete in next week’s HoH comp, which should be an endurance and Frankie is better for that (not sure if Derrick is legit with that, but it is a very valid point and should be an endurance comp, especially with the jury competition probably being incorporated into it). Derrick has convinced everyone that Victoria will be safe this week, unless Donny wins PoV and then she goes, but I am not convinced of that either.
So, the nominees would be Donny and Zach for Derrick and Cody and Christine for Frankie. HoH rooms are revealed and we see more time for CBS to show us Ariana Grande and her music. Booze is delivered and people start getting silly and start thinking, except Donny who pretty much went to bed.
I still find it funny that Caleb thinks The Bomb Squad is in place, but The Detonators plus Caleb meet in the HoH room and Zach does not want to go on the block, especially since he has been a target the past couple weeks. He also doesn’t want to be the one to throw a comp next to Donny, who he shared some touching moments with in the Have Not room (again, legit reasoning). Caleb is out since he did this last week with Frankie, even though he sucked at it. Cody and Christine both don’t want to do it, but they all turn it on Zach and get angry with him that he won’t do it. Why is he a bad person for not wanting to do it, but Cody and Christine don’t have to? My dislike of them grows more and more every day.
Zach finally agrees that he will do it, but let’s draw Skittles to see who goes up? They all agree and Christine’s color gets picked to go up with Donny and Cody and Caleb get drawn for the other side and Zach remains off the block, for now! Love, love, love this draw. Now if Zach could only be smart enough to work with Donny after seeing these people have zero interest in him on Big Brother 2014!
There is still time for that to change, but it looks like Derrick will nominate Christine and Donny and then Frankie will nominate Cody and Caleb. Christine is to act sick and throw the comp, but I am praying for a repeat performance of last week and Donny wins it on his own (come on production, we all know you favored it for Frankie, so favor it for Donny) and Cody and Caleb remain on the block and it will be fun to see it play out. I am sure Zach would become a target because Victoria can’t go yet for Derrick.
We also saw Christine and Cody cuddling more and being their weird selves. They talk about never voting for each other, so a new F2 deal there??? Cody has mentioned to Derrick about a backdoor Frankie plan, so who knows if that would ever fly. The queen has won four HoH competitions, so why would they keep him in there as the numbers dwindle?
Nominees today and the final Battle of the Block later today….finally! Zingbot comes tomorrow for the PoV, which is normally a puzzle, so Donny could be winning veto!

Todd, this year is the same old crap. People throwing comps and all voting the same, pretty darn boring. Talking down at people, etc. I could go on but wont.
I agree that this season has gone to extremes in the throwing the comps and voting the same scenarios. But NOTHING can compare to the bigoted/racist/homophobic hgs we had last year. I’ll take boring over THAT nastiness ANY day!
Well to me Cat it shows production has their hands in who the want to win no matter, what the viewers see or even they see also.
I DO believe production has a hand in how the hgs see things. But they can’t control how they vote. Production may have their own opinion about who they would like to see win. But they would have to be very heavy handed in making it happen. And based on what previous hgs have said, production having their hands in the cookie jar is very limited.
I tend to agree with you, Cat. Not just because we often think alike, but I just don’t WANT to go to the place Carol has arrived in thinking the show is 90% rigged. And I think it’s pretty clear at least SOME hgs would not do what they are told unless they quite literally had a gun to their heads – and we know that doesn’t happen.
That said, though, I don’t think we can discount the EFFECT that production’s hints or nudges or whatever – no matter how small – have on the hgs. We already know they have difficulty thinking for themselves. In that paranoid world, the most important thing we have but they do NOT is perspective and true knowledge about everything else in the house. Every little nuance they can glean from production (whether production wishes it or doesn’t), they would pounce on. Especially after 2 months of seclusion.
So to that extent, I think this game is much more rigged than most probably realize.
Hi Carol / of course production has their hands in who they want to win / who the americas player is…………that is the same with survivor the amazing race / big brother canada etc. anyone of those game shows are all fixed by the production and who they want or they pick to win or to get evicted at a certain time.
I am tired of them constantly putting Zach up on the block – and yes I am getting tired (yes I am actually saying this) of Derrick running the show and figuring his s&@t dont stink and they all cower to him……………..I would love to see Christine and Donny win the BofB and then Derrick will be dethroned and Frankie put Derrick and Victoria on the block……………..then Derrick can then show what he has if he is worthy of saving his life. I do like Derrick but I am also getting tired of these houseguests bowing down to him like he is “the almighty” and the know all – its a game people in the house – wake up and start PLAYING the game. Donny or Victoria should actually go – especially Victoria who will never win but also does NOT deserve second place.

While I agree that it has been pretty boring, but I don’t think it is worse than last season. The HGs did and said horrible things last season and I think casting made sure they did not have that again this season.
Yes, the throwing of comps and voting the same is so, so lame, but eventually the fun has to begin when they are the only ones remaining….I try to keep the faith and hope alive lol

So sad to see Nicole go. I think that was a dumb move for most of the underdogs in the house. Stupid they all vote the same again. Ugh.

BTW, in your photo, is kitty smelling the flower or eating the flower? I cannot bring flowers into my house without having 2 little fur babies trying to make a “snack” out of them!
Lol Tessa! I think she was going to try and eat the flower but I snapped the pic and then told her “no!” then saw how cute the pic was cuz it looks like she’s smelling it. 🙂 (her name is mimi) I can’t have live flowers in the house either, or plants. All three of my cats like to eat flowers, even the fake ones. hehe
She is so cute–I had a very cute little black kitty that my ex rescued from a car engine–she survived a really bad injury and was the sweetest little thing ever.
I don’t have any real plants either but, like yours, mine have given some attention to the fake greenery from time to time!
I’m extremely glad this will be the last BotB comp. Lets just hope Donny and Zach survive this week. I’ve always liked the good strategic players. And although Donny isn’t very strategic i have a soft spot in my heart for him. His tears last night in the Have Not room were heartbreaking. Remember in the first couple of episodes when he shed tears because he was so happy that the “youngins” in the house made him feel loved and accepted? Now they are doing the exact opposite. I’m not putting my hopes into TA to save Donny. I’m putting my hopes into DONNY saving Donny. Zach may be the only person that could or would help him. I’m not saying i think Donny should win (he’s already a winner in my eyes). I’m just hoping this soft hearted “country bumpkin” does a little cow tipping. Then throws in a little snipe hunting for good measure 🙂

Like the rest of you, I’m liking many things about Zach – especially the limited amount of entertainment he provides in a BOR-RING BB season!
But if you’re hoping for Zach to grow a brain or – more to the point – ACT on that, especially if it conflicts with what Frankie or the house wants … ain’t gonna happen, I’m afraid. Just don’t think Zach is good for a “big move” – which might be the main reason he won’t win, because I believe he’s got the chops (and the votes) to do so if he would.
Is it a brain he needs to grow or some other body part? 😉 😉
Speaking of editing, when I first typed in “body” the “d” was missing–guess that would have worked, too!
OK, I didn’t watch anything other than the TV show last night so I have a question. Am I seeing things or does Zach have pink hair in the photo above? (in addition to Frankie, of course!)

LOL! Thanks–for a minute there, I thought he had gone overboard with the “Frankie Fairy Dust!” Is it at all possible that Zach is pulling the wool over Frankie’s eyes and that he will help vote him out? Zach is so unpredictable and I would love to see that happen.

I think that Zach and Frankie ARE friends BUT I don’t think Zach would hesitate getting him out! I think he has finally realized that last week. Life in the BB house is very different then the outside world and I think they will remain close after this

I don’t agree. They shook hands and said they were still friends and Zach commented on that in DR and said even though he told Frankie they were good and still friends, that they weren’t and he wanted him gone and if he won HoH he’d be gone. He’s still very upset with him.
But as Ebony pointed out….life outside the house is much different than inside. And while i don’t think Zach would hesitate to evict Frankie (not even for a second), i do think they can remain friends afterwards. Game related stuff disappears once outside the house.
I’m not so sure, unless he’s blinded by his “celebrity”. What a joke. YUK!
Before Frankie made his big reveal they got along really well. It’s only afterward that he talked about evicting him. Most hgs forgive and forget after the show. So i don’t think Zach would be blinded by Frankies so called celebrity. He’s willing to oust him in spite of it. But i expect they will return to their buddy-buddy ways after all is said and done. But of course i could be completely wrong. 🙂

None of us really know what is going to happen to the house guests when they get out but I took what Zach said differently. Plus Zach stated in BBAD that they kept pushing him to talk in the DRs and he didn’t want to… I think what he said was out of anger at the time. Zach and Frankie are very close despite his “celebrity” status. I’m one of the only ones who knew who Frankie was before coming into the house as well as knowing who Ariana are… I think they are both very loving people from what I have seen.
