Big Brother 2015 Predictions: Season 17 Winner Is? (POLL)
|Sure, we haven’t even seen any of the new Houseguests on Big Brother 2015 in action yet, but how about we make some early predictions for this new season? Heck, we don’t even know if CBS is going to give us more HGs this season or not, but time to pick the winner of Big Brother 17 based on what we have seen so far. For those completely out of the loop, the Big Brother 17 cast can be seen here! We have 14 new HGs and rumor on the street is Jeff & Jackie from The Amazing Race will be the other two HGs this season. To be honest, I think it will be them from that video and signature, so I am going to include them in this poll!

CBS hasn’t given us many details yet, so we should find out a lot of information over the next two days. With that being said, who are your early favorites to win Big Brother 2015? I think Vanessa might play a really strong game, but her professional poker career could be outed and that could hurt her. I was an early fan of Da’Vonne and hope she comes out as a strong player. Audrey and Austin both seem strong and very intense, so could that hurt them???
Right now, I am Team Da’Vonne! That may switch very quickly when I see the HGs actually move in. For the time being, vote in our poll here and tell me what you all are thinking:

At the moment i’m rooting for Da’Vonne. And i think Vanessa might stand a good chance. The only thing that might put the kabosh on her winning could be the fact that she IS a professional poker player. I think if she reveals this, it will hurt her. A lot of assuming goes on inside the house. And if her occupation becomes known then we will get the old argument that she already has money….and therefore shouldn’t win. And be voted out summarily. I’m not sure whether she should lie or not. It’s possible she could be outed by Da’Vonne. They travel in the same circles. Being caught in a lie is never good. BUT if Da’Vonne does discover the truth…..i hope they team up and take home the bankroll.
I went with who I think may be able to pull this off Ian style: Steve Moses. But I’m rooting for Da’Vonne so far. And do like Vanessa, too. Mr. Dentist may surprise us….
Judging just by their interviews, i think Mr. Dentist might be a bit over-the-top for me. I mean really – WHO calls their self a “rockstar dentist”?? Unless Mick Jagger has taken up a new career and is inside the house….i don’t think so.
Too bad, I love Mick Jagger. The game hasn’t even started yet but as of now I’m rooting for Da’Vonne.
I just saw a commercial for BB17 and it was Donny talking in the diary room so may he’s coming back?
At least it wasn’t Rankie. I avoid all commercials by BB…just in case they slip him in somewhere. Here’s hoping he gets a part in a Broadway play that takes an infinite amount of time to prepare for. And they go on tour. In another country. Besides Canada or the U.S.

I’d suggest Australia. It’s winter there and that means there’s always the chance they can’t de-ice the runway. Or he could get his tongue stuck to a flagpole 🙂

In defense of Mongolia … my sister and her young family are missionaries in the Mongolia countryside!!! So how about … Siberia?

Speaking of the Mongolian countryside … If anyone is looking for something unique to watch on Netflix, I recommend two series: “Long Way ‘Round” and “Long Way Down.” These are 9-episode series following Ewen McGregor (Star Wars, Moulin Rouge) and another actor friend as they trek on motorcycles across three continents. Sounds boring, I know, but large portions of these travels are truly a struggle, and the countryside they see is often beautiful. If you’re adventuresome, you’ll enjoy them. And Ewen and his friend Charley are pretty funny and interesting people.

FYI, everyone: Big Brother posted on its Facebook page yesterday a link to “find out what advice Frankie gives the hgs” or some such nonsense. I didn’t bother clicking on the link, of course, but I checked the FB comments. EVERY comment was like, “Good grief, CBS, quit trying to milk the Frankie connection! Get a clue: we’re all SICK of him!” Several people said if Frankie shows up this season, they will turn the tv off. I just thought it was interesting that we aren’t in the minority around here!

I saw that. I risked my mental health to take a sneak peek. Once i reached the response about having a product line called “Glitter Like Frankie”, i immediately closed the page and asked hubby to send me to my room without supper.

I really like DaVonne as well. She seems like she will do whatever it takes to win this thing…with that said, looking at the other hg’s i’m guessing she won’t make it too far. The reason I say that is because as a general rule people of a different ethnicity/race usually don’t fare too well in these type of shows. People fear those that are different from them and tend to want them out early. My bf (who is Jamaican) pointed out that there is no token Black man this season. I guess after Devon they decided to play it safe LOL.
I also like the guy that appears to be a cross of Ian and Peter. I think if he keeps his head on right he could have a good chance if he has a decent social game.
Without going on a rant…..people that fear those different from themselves is part of what’s wrong with this country. Isn’t the U.S. (and Canada) supposed to be a melting pot? Guess the BB powers that be forgot to stir….as usual.
Being a proud Canadian, that is something I have always been proud of, the fact we are known as a melting pot and I know first hand with all my relatives and friends in the U.S., they feel the same way. Shame of you BB.
It is befuddling to me the combination of 16 people CBS comes up with each summer. Seriously. There are 300 million people in this country, and they couldn’t come up with more variety than THAT? I maintain they have to work very hard to come up with their stupid formula of the white male stud (or three) with abs, the girl(s) who look stunning in bikinis, the token (usually over-the-top) gay, toss in a nerd-y type, someone who is a bit “different” (last year was Joey, this year they think it’s Audrey) and – let’s don’t forget – the so-called “superfans” (not). Geniuses.

Honestly it’s casts like these that make you kind of miss the evil dicks and such of the big brother world. (but then again I could be wrong and we could have some very different, interesting people in the mix this season)
Oh, I don’t doubt they THINK they’ve found some people who will “shake things up.” They ALL talk about how cutthroat their gonna be, and how they are there to win the money, not make friends. But that’s not new. Of course, for at least a few more weeks, we can still be pleasantly surprised, right?!
oh yeah, they think they picked from the right trees. Only time will tell and I for one will be happy as a peach if they finally got it right…just not getting my hopes up too high for fear that we will be let down yet again by the powers that be.!
Statistically speaking…you would think that one hg with more than 2 brain cells would be in the mix somewhere. Truthfully….i think this has the potential of turning into “The Audrey Show”. I love the message that she hopes to send but BB has a way of exploiting even the best intentions from a hg. Transgender + a bit of notoriety = media circus (example: Caitlyn Jenner). And BB would LOVE that! Will they give her an edit that puts her in a good light?….Of COURSE they will! But it irks me that they are only inclusive (and helpful) when it suits them. When they have something to gain. You can take a stance on something without profiting from it. She is their money-maker this season. I’m all for the LGBT community being included in what should be a variety of hgs. And i’m thankful for the chance for a conversation to be had. But…. despite BBs quest for profit-sharing, i hope SHE shines like a new penny. And proves to those phobia-ridden that she’s more than just a gender. This girl has more than 2 brain cells.
Well said. I feel that way every time I see them announce a Christian hg or a Southerner – or someone who could be considered conservative. I truly believe they expected Caleb to be the homophobic ex-soldier from Texas last season (for his flaws, glad he wasn’t that). I think CBS LIKES controversy of the worst kind. And they don’t care who it “hurts” – inside or outside of the house. Unfortunately, they like when their Christians are nutballs, their gays are flamboyant, and their washboard-abs, testosterone-packed male hgs are complete morons. You said it well: I’ll be interested to see how Audrey does because I hope she is intelligent and plays BB well – not because I want her to be a media caricature like Kaitlyn Jenner has become.
you got that right Cat. I for one love to see a wide variety of people from all walks of life on these shows…that is what really would make it interesting. I’m sure if they expanded their search a bit they could really get us melting pot . …but as they’ve proven to us time and again they are stuck in the box and refuse to put on hg’s that we would like to see….aka a few mature house guests!!! they need to get over the baywatch syndrome!

Haha! I actually did a little WOO HOO myself this morning. Only it was on the back deck. And i have no neighbors. But i did get the stink-eye from a couple of hummingbirds. Plus, in honor of BB, i had slop for breakfast. Ok, it was oatmeal but who can tell the difference?
Who gives two shakes about BB! I’m just about giddy to share the next three months with my cyber-friends! Can’t wait ’till tonight! Cat, if you have any info *wink, wink* on the live feeds, let me know. I don’t get the Pop channel, so I can’t watch the After Dark show. If not, I may have to hold my nose and purchase the CBS all-access for three months…. (through this website, of course)!
I have a couple of sites that might be of use. But i won’t be able to tell until the feeds actually start. Since Canada doesn’t get the feeds, i’ll be scrambling to find alternatives.

Yeah, you can signup for them and cancel whenever you would like. You get one week free and then they’ll bill you the $6 once that week is done. Then they’ll bill you on that same day every month, but you can cancel it before they bill you again, so cancel when the Live Feeds go down in September!

Oh yeah!, i remember now. There’s a chat button at the top of this page (and all Todds blogs). I think we used that.
Yup, it is the Chat button right above the second BIG in the banner up top. People did chat there last season and commented on the recap too.
The chat room is actually better because you can see everyone who is participating – and the posts are in realtime and not all over the page. But if everyone here doesn’t go to the chat room, I’ll just stay here because it’s difficult to do both.
I can’t join in as it distracts me too much from watching the show – hey, I’m old, I’m not good at multi-tasking.
Haha! I agree. But I find the chat room easier than posting on the page, because everyone posts in different places. THAT is distracting to me. The chat room can be difficult to participate in without missing some of the show, though, so I get what you mean.
I just wish the pace that the chat room scrolls comments would slow a bit.

I will most likely not chat as I watch with my family. We put all the names of the houseguest on paper and pick from a hat if one of your house guest win you get to choose what movie the family sees next. Big deal in my house.
