Celebrity Big Brother season 2 winner, Tamar Braxton was rushed to the hospital last night after being found unresponsive by her boyfriend, David Adefeso. Keep reading to get any details about what happened right here!

It has been reported that at 9:45 PM on July 16th, authorities were called to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Los Angeles after an individual was found unresponsive in their hotel room. LAPD had confirmed that the call was made in regards to a possible overdose by a woman matching Braxton’s description.

She was transported to the hospital and a rep for Braxton later confirmed that Braxton, 43, “had a very tough and emotional day – more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.” Braxton is currently listed in stable condition and is being monitored around the clock. Reports about the 911 call suggested that Braxton had been drinking all day and took an unknown number of prescription pills prior to being found. 

Prior to her time in the Big Brother house, Braxton opened up about her struggles with body dysmorphia, a mental illness that causes an individual to constantly obsess about perceived flaws in their appearance. She talked about how it all started when a record executive told her she was too fat.

Throughout her time on Celebrity Big Brother season 2, she made it very known that her mental health was suffering while being locked in the house. She talked about missing her son, Logan, on countless occasions.

Since winning season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother, Braxton has been uploading a show on her YouTube channel called “Coupled and Quarantined” where she has opened up about how quarantine has been taking its toll on her mental health. Last night another episode was supposed to be uploaded, but instead, the viewers saw a messaged that said:

“Hello y’all unfortunately your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today’s show (don’t worry it’s not COVID). We’re sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week’s show is going to be even bigger and better. So sorry for the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. We’ll make it up to you next week.”

Braxton has a new docu-series set to premiere on We TV on Thursday, July 30th called “Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!”.
