Big Brother 12 jury member Britney Haynes’ Little Rock, Ark., home was damaged in a fire early this morning, according to the Little Rock Fire Department. Fire crews responded to a call at the home, which Hayes shares with her fiancé Nick Grisham, at 1:32 a.m. Wednesday. An outdoor grill is believed to have caused the blaze, the department told EW. Damages are estimated to be around $50,000, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Little Rock FD would not confirm the figure. CBS has yet to return calls for comment regarding Haynes’ scheduled appearance on tonight’s finale.From EW.com

The current edition posted year-to-year increases, up five percent in viewers (7.64 million versus 7.26 million), four percent in adults 18-49 (2.7 rating/09 share versus 2.6/08), 10 percent in adults 18-34 (2.3/08 versus 2.1/07) and three percent in adults 25-54 (3.2/09 versus 3.1/09).
“Big Brother is our summer hero,” said CBS’ Jennifer Bresnan, executive vice president, alternative programming, in a statement. “Every year, our producers deliver innovative twists and turns, consistently evolving this proven franchise and engaging one of the most loyal and interactive fan bases on television and online.”
The two-hour finale, in which Lane, Enzo and Hayden will compete for the $500,000 prize, will air tonight following the premiere of Survivor: Nicaragua. Big Brother is executive produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol U.S.A. The host is Julie Chen, who also writes a Big Brother blog for EW.com.
First, I want to apologize. Something crazy has been going on with the site the last couple of days. Not sure what. But I think I’ve got it fixed now. Please feel free to post your final posts. Even some of mine disappeared!
This is it. Almost three months worth of drama, tears (talking about you, Ragan, Britney), ugliness and, at the end, boredom.
There were highs,
lows
and so-so’s
We had the HG’s and scenes we loved…
And those we loved to hate.
And if it ended with indifference..
Well, the good thing about Big Brother, is that we always have next year to look forward to…
No one truly seems passionate about who wins. But who do you want to see again next year?

This season as had its up and downs, depending on which bedroom we saw, or which houseguest was in the shower, but it was otherwise ok. Not the best season but well as far as I am concerned due to overwhelming boredom, probably the worse season, but hey, we always have next season to look forward to. If there is an all star season next year I would like to see Janelle again, Evil Dick, Jeff, Jordan, Dan, Keesha, Renny, Russell, Casey, Libra, Brendan, not sure who else…trying to remember past guests. Would like a little drama to keep things exciting. Like mixing Evil Dick, Libra and Russell in the same house. Fireworks!!! Don’t even care who wins this season. I keep going back and forth. I know I don’t want Lane to win. Did anyone here about Britney and her boyfriend Nick’s house caught fire this morning? Don’t like the girl but this is very sad. They are not going to tell her until after the show because her boyfriend said there is nothing she can do about it anyway. Thanks again Janet for an awesome blog site. See you next season 🙂

I thought the show was good overall this season.
I’m glad Brit and Ragan and Lane were big winners over all this season.
Enzo is a goof ball, Lane would have helped him out more than Hayden will. He’s an immature college student who said the money is already blowing a hole in his pocket.
Over all he played the better game. So thats what won it for him.

@Carol, I’m glad someone else feels the same. I was beginning to think people believe mean, nasty, hateful behavior deserves to be awarded. You can play hard, play sneaky, lie, trash talk but you don’t have to call people whores, hookers, and so many more nasty things that I cannot even repeat to win a game!!!
Oh and just an added note I really liked Britney and Ragan both in the beginning until they showed there true colors on BB after dark. It’s so sad that such a pretty girl has to act that way. Even tonight when Julie was talking to Rachel and Brendon…the look on Britney’s face (rolling her eyes). She needs to do a lot of growing up. I think a lot of America’s votes were based on just the show and not on live feeds or BB after dark!!!
First of all congratualtions to Hayden. He deserved it. There was a moment there when I thought Lane was actually going to win. And I thought, well that would be the appropriate ending to this kind of season. So I send out A LOT of respect to Enzo for voting for the player who voted him out but also deserved it.
So the season ended with me really appreciating Enzo.
Karen and Carol,…I could not agree with you more about Britney. But CBS really did edit her as well as they could. They, the producers, seemed to like her for some reason. I guess she was good television.
Can you imagine how many people must really hate that girl in real life?
On the opposite end I have to give Ragan a thumbs up on his vote. I spent the second half of the season expressing how much I disliked his behavior but I have to give him some respect for going against Britney(Did you notice how Britney was even making faces at Ragan when they were discussing who should win?) If they had more time I know Ragan would have looked at Brit and said, “The only thing in this world more shifty than your personality is that right eye.”
Note to the girl who wants to be a model but I can never remember her name…The only one tonight who looked more skanky than Rachel was you! Grow up. You saw yourself on television and decided it was a good idea to keep on with the bad mouthing?
I was disappointed in Rachel and Brendan’s vote. I have a feeling Rachel is staying in Vegas. It makes sens when you hink about it,.. because Brit has to stay in Arkansas for like.
Kristen, I would not be so uppity about cheating on my boyfriend and then talking about how “happily single” I am. Hayden just embarrassed you. You MIGHT get a slice of pizza but now he is going out in the real world. So I think he is moving on to better things(girls who do not cheat ont heir boyfriends).
And finally I wish Annie had stayed in the game. I think she would have been fun and added a lot more flavor to the game. So many of the others seemed like caricatures. I liked Annie.
JUst wanted to add a note on people who don’t agree with brit’s win—I was one of the ones who didn’t like her behavior–but when it came down to My part in America’s vote –i had to access who i thought ultimately deserved it— and i was toren between Brenden and Brit who are 2 very different people. But in the end –i decided to put aside my feeling about her behavior and look at it on a game play level. SHe won out in my mind in the end because of #1 she fought hard to stay and then how she handled her eviction. I don’t condone her behavior but i looked at it on game level. Some of you can’t get past her behavior– but lets face it— its Big Brother. In the end you vote on who played the game. Lets face it she got AMERICA”S vote–lots of people must of felt the same way. But each to his own.And thats why its AMERICA–freedom of choice……having said that–Brenden would of been my 2nd choice…..

Of all the people who voted for Brit how many do you think would have still voted for her if they had seen her on the live feeds and after dark shows? I just do not think most people could get past the real Brit…not the one who always pats the leg of the person next to her(pageant move) or cries…..no matter how strong of a player she might be.
I probably would have liked her myself if I had only watched the edited shows.
OK that Hayden won but disgusting that Brit’ won anything for her nasty vicious behavior that obviously continued into the Jury house. The same for Ragan. What kind of people and what kind of behavior are getting rewarded. Noone deserves to be on the wrong end of either one of those goblins. If either of them shows up on another competition – I am definitely out !~

BB definitely edited the show to make Britney look like the southern sweetheart princess. Most of america did not read blogs like these or see the live feeds and/or BBAD.
I also think that BB liked Brit and thought america would eat up the blonde sweet southern girl angle and so edited the show as such. Another thought is they posted it all over the place about her house catching fire…and I think even if Brendon really won AP vote they still would have given it to Britney.
Who was doing the counting, who verified it? Where is the hard actual proof that Brit got more votes than Brendon.
Then the way they presented it as an afterthought at the very end of the show was not cool.
I was hoping that Annie would tell Ragan that he was a sorry immitation of a real sabatour!
Susan, You can still play a good game and be a decent person. Brendon played harder than anyone. He had the entire house against him from day one and still made it to the jury house as 4th. Britney got lucky on some of her wins and rode the coat tails of the brigade until they didn’t need her anymore. She is a spoiled brat that did not deserve the money. Look at how she even acted on this final show. Making faces and comments everytime Julie talked about Rachel or Brendon. Grow up Britney!!!

would happen in the bb house–And Brenden would of been my 2nd choice–but to me he only started playing when rachel left–granted i think he is a nice guy and with the wrong girl–but my vote went to brit at the end –because–even tho most of us will not admit it–we all have trash talked somewhat –not to her degree but she didn’t hurt anyone and didn’t say it to anyones face unless provoked. How many times have we maybe said to a girlfriend or husband–whats up with her hair–or whats going on with those pants or something like that–even tho you would never say it to the person–you may of thought it –Don’t get me wrong–i do not condone her behavior–but in the end her game play is what i voted on not behavior.

I was really surprised that Brit won…I did not like all the language that was used in the after hrs shows…..She might not have got all the votes if everyone had seen these shows.Haden was not my favorite either….was a little disappointed this season but I cant wait for next season.
I absolutely loved bb12 I would have like to have been a fly on the glass and watch simotanusly as i watched live feeds on a laptop and then going from room to room behind the glass when interesting moments were occuring.
