We started tonight’s episode of Survivor off with a look at Erika who is on Exile Island and it’s pouring rain. The next morning, she tells us about how even her worse day on the island is still a dream come true, but last night was a rough night. She is proud of herself for keeping the fire going.
It is now time for Erika to return to the main island for this week’s Individual Immunity Challenge, but first Jeff has her tell everyone about the big decision that she had to make. Jeff explains to the rest of the castaways what Erika’s decision entailed in detail. He then has Erika reveal her decision to the rest of the group. Erika decided to change the course of history and smashed the hourglass!
This means that Danny, Deshawn, Evvie, Naseer, Ricard, and Sydney are no longer safe and will have to compete in this week’s Individual Immunity Challenge. Meanwhile, Erika, Shan, Tiffany, Heather, Xander, and Liana are all safe and don’t have to compete for immunity.
In tonight’s Individual Immunity Challenge, the castaways will have to use their feet only to stack blocks into a three-tier tower and then put a flag into the middle of it. Evvie and Sydney are neck and neck the whole competition with not many people close behind. When Evvie gets all her blocks up, she goes to put her flag in but ends up knocking over one of her blocks. Ricard manages to catch up to Sydney and it comes down to the two of them trying to get their flag in the center of their tower.
In the end, Ricard manages to get his flag into place before Sydney does. That means that Ricard has won Individual Immunity this week and will be safe alongside Erika, Shan, Tiffany, Heather, Xander, and Liana. Danny, Deshawn, Evvie, Naseer, and Sydney will be the only five castaways who can receive votes at tonight’s Tribal Council.
Prior to Tribal Council, the castaways are talking about who they should send home. Evvie’s name is being brought up by a lot of others, but Xander tells Evvie not to worry about it because he is going to play his idol for her tonight. Tiffany tells Xander about Liana’s advantage and how she can steal Xander’s idol and now he is worried that Liana might take his idol before he can play it for Evvie.
The news about Xander using the idol on Evvie spread like wildfire before the Tribal Council and Liana has decided that she is going to take Xander’s idol before he can use it on Evvie. However, Liana is worried about what will happen if Xander gives the idol to Evvie instead of playing it for her at Tribal Council.
It is time for Tribal Council and Xander pulls his idol out and Liana pulls out her advantage. She reads her advantage and then asks Xander if he has an idol and he tells her no, but she is more than welcome to have this fake one. We then find out right before the Tribal, Xander gave Evvie his idol so that Liana couldn’t take it from him, and then he pretended he had the real one in his hand.
After a lot of whispering, it’s time to vote! Jeff goes to tally the votes and then tells them that if anyone has a hidden immunity idol or an advantage that they want to play, now is the time to do so. Sydney sacrificed her vote for a shot at safety by using her shot in the dark and she opens her scroll. Her scroll says “not safe” and any votes for her will still count.
Here are the votes:
- Deshawn
- Evvie
- Sydney
- Deshawn
- Evvie
- Sydney
- Deshawn
- Evvie
- Sydney
- Evvie
- Sydney
- Sydney
With five votes, Sydney is the next person voted out of Survivor 41. It was super close for a while there, but Evvie’s allies pulled through.
