This season of Survivor kicks off tonight right before the season finale of Big Brother 21. Survivor: Island of the Idols has been described as Survivor boot camp and I’m excited to see it play out! We will watch as Boston Rob and Sandra Diaz-Twine return as mentors to the new castaways. If you missed out on the cast reveal, you can find a full list of castaways right here! Tonight we will watch as 20 new castaways begin their 39-day adventure on Survivor: Island of the Idols. Jeff Probst mentioned that they brought back Boston Rob and Sandra to be mentors as a way to get former Survivor greats back on the show. They have both previously said they wouldn’t compete with new castaways because they know that they would have no shot at winning the prize again.

This season, the castaways will visit the Island of the Idols and learn a lesson from Sandra and Boston Rob. They will then return to the island to test out what they have learned for a chance at an advantage. We do not yet know how it will be determined who goes to the Island of the Idols, but we will soon find out!
