Last night on Big Brother 17, we saw everything play out for the Power of Veto. Over the weekend, I was a little disappointed when John did not win POV and take himself off the block. As it turns out, he threw the Veto Comp to show his loyalty to Austwins. He was hoping that Becky would win and make sure they were both safe, but it was Liz pulling out the victory and that meant the nominees stayed the same and now we move on to tonight’s eviction.

With that being said, the final two nominees for Week 8 on Big Brother 17 are:
- Becky Burgess
- John McGuire
So, it has gone back and forth for tonight’s eviction over the weekend, as they wanted Becky and then John and then Becky and then John to be safe for the week. Why? Well, they both want to take out Vanessa, so which one is the better option to take her out? I mean, Liz was HOH and has POV, so she could have done this move herself, but that was just too easy. So, it landed on John taking her out next week, so that means Becky will be eliminated tonight and headed to jury!
Who do you think is going home tonight on Big Brother 17?

I hope it’s not John, he sincerely thought he was safe throwing the Veto comp
you are never safe on the block. pawns GO HOME
Becky is leaving tonight hopefully.
I am John’s biggest fan but he sure pissed my off when he threw that veto comp. Johnny Johnny you are killing me.
Maybe we could threaten him with a tooth extraction if he does it again. Without numbing medication. He’s killing me too. I like him. He’s funny. But he sucks at playing the game. I want him to pull a rabbit out of his hat and make a big move. But i suppose i will have to settle for him pulling a bad strategy out of his a$$. I still love him though 🙂
People better start thinking about getting rid of Austin & the twins. Yes Vanessa should go but & nobody wants her to win–they will vote for anyone but her. But please get rid of atleast 2 of that three group.
Hopefully the house won’t change their collective minds, nothing is a sure thing with this group.
they are now the Borg!
I caught that Star Trek reference….
I like when somebody picks up what i’m putting down! LOL
THAT’s an oxymoron house and minds
LMAO
I have never seen such convoluted thinking on Big Brother. They compete to lose all competitions and no one wants to make a decision of any kind. This whole summer has been one big disappointment. They are all afraid to win the $500,000 because someone else will be mad. It is so frustrating to watch it play out.
I feel your pain Barbara. I’ve threatened to stop watching several times, but I just can’t seem to do it.
I know, me too, lol. Must be masochistic. You know, every year I have always hated one or two people, but this year I hate them all for what they have done to the game.
I’ve watched BB from season 1 and have enjoyed it so much but the last few years have been difficult to watch and I keep thinking maybe I’m too old for this or maybe it’s just run its course.
no the problem is the select young people know nothings they get along to get along that’s why Van is eating their lunch
Big Brother has jumped the shark!!
What do you mean, jumped the shark? Sorry, duh!
It’s a reference from the show Happy Days…they had Fonzie jump a shark and that was pretty much the winding down of the show.
What a good memory you have. I watched that show all time but I don’t remember that. I do remember Fonzie though (yum).
he*l if they don’ want it they can split it with us:-)
We deserve it as much as they do.
I’m not a fan of throwing comps, but its hard to argue that John’s wasn’t a shrewd game move given the position he was in. That was the card he had, and he played it
As per no one wanting to make a decision of any kind? Both Becky and James went after specific targets and got massive amounts of blood on their hands. Becky is probably out the door this week and James will be next if his side doesn’t win Immunity.
So if you’re paying attention, a decisive game tends to get you kicked. The game isn’t called Win Comps, its Big Brother… and the only thing that matters is doing whatever it takes not to get sent out the door.
Well i certainly agree with one thing you said. It’s not all about winning comps. It takes more than that. But i think that Johns shrewd game move was not throwing the comp. His shrewd move was spilling the beans about Van to Liz and Austin.
Well.. that too.
Acceptance. That’s what i have about tonights Becky eviction (almost a certain thing – almost). The noms have accepted it too. Which ticks me off because they shouldn’t. I want them kicking and screaming, shouting slanderous jibs, alliances outed, back biting, mud slinging, every man for himself type of eviction. I hate it when they roll over and die.
Yes, me too Cat 🙁

It was a shrewd move. He lowered the target on his back and got out of the way of the train headed for Becky (again).
