We started tonight’s episode of Survivor off with Dean trying to find out whose idea it was to get rid of Chelsea. He starts asking everyone on the tribe where they got the idea from and it comes down to Missy. Missy denies it to him.

We then move onto the castaways gathering around Jeff and they are told to drop their buffs. Vokai is Dan, Jason, Tommy, and Lauren with Aaron, Elaine, Missy, and Elizabeth. The new Lairo it’s Noura, Kellee, Jamal, and Janet with Karishma, Jack, Tom, and Dean. Dean isn’t feeling good about this at all.

The castaways are now going to compete in a reward challenge and they are competing for the biggest reward of the season! They are going to win Applebee’s fajitas, chicken wings, quesadillas and more. They also get dessert and a drink! The castaways will have to slither with their hands behind their backs and their feet bound together in a relay race through the sand. They are bound to another castaway in this race. Then the final two castaways will have to put together a puzzle. The relay race through the sand goes fairly smoothly for Vokai, but on Lairo, Karishma gets stuck and Noura is forced to pull Karishma through.

By the time Lairo finishes the relay, Vokai only has 3 pieces of the puzzle left. Vokai is able to get their puzzle put together first and they win the Applebee’s feast. Back on Vokai, Tom is working some angles with the new tribemates. Meanwhile, Dean realizes that Kellee and he have a mutual friend back home. Kellee and Dean’s ex-girlfriend went to business school together. Karishma is working on some of the new tribemates by telling them her story about how she is in an arraigned marriage. She gets really emotional. Aaron starts talking Tommy about his son, whose face is on Aaron’s socks, and makes a pretty good connection with him.

It’s time for this week’s Immunity Challenge where the castaways will swim out to a ladder, climb up and jump off. They will then dive down to retrieve their buoys which they will then have to transport across balance beams using a disk. They then have to throw the buoys into baskets. The first tribe to get all their buoys into the baskets will win immunity. By the time Lairo gets their buoys onto their platform, Vokai has one buoy in a basket. Vokai gets a second one in and Lairo quickly ties it up.

Unfortunately, that isn’t enough and Lairo loses. Lairo will head to Tribal Council tonight. Karishma is the biggest reason they lost tonight and has a huge target on her back.

Dean is being hard on himself because he failed to get the buoy in the basket and he was a division 1 player in college. Dean, Tom, and Jamal are talking about who the best option is this week and they seem to think that Karishma is the best option because they could win more challenges without her.

Noura is a little nervous about how tonight’s Tribal Council is going to go because she lost her vote for tonight after visiting Island of the Idols last week. She goes through the options for tonight’s Tribal. They could either get rid of Karishma this week so that they can start winning challenges or take out a bigger threat so that they don’t have to worry about them later after merge.

It is time for Tribal Council! The castaways are talking about how the tribe switch is affecting their relationships and how this vote could go tonight. Dean talks about how with the switch in tribes they have to pitch themselves to the new castaways and make connections and Janet calls out Dean on that. She tells him that Dean made time to talk to everyone except for her.

Dean saves his own game by mentioning how last week Karishma was supposed to be voted out but then all of a sudden she joined in on a flip. He mentions that she clearly owes someone big, Karishma claims she doesn’t know who, but Tom says she sure does. It is time for the votes! Here they are:

  • Tom
  • Karishma
  • Karishma
  • Tom
  • Tom
  • Tom
  • Tom

Well, Karishma dodged another bullet this week at Tribal Council, but which of the Lairo people will head to Island of the Idols next week? Also, could Lairo win a challenge next week with Karishma still in the mix?
