Big Brother 2013 Spoilers: Week 8 – Power of Veto Ceremony
|One of the power duos (Helen and Elissa) have been put on the block for Week 8 on Big Brother 2013 and Aaryn stated on the episode last night that they are a power duo that will come after her power duo if they stay in the game. Little does she know, but everyone will come after her “power duo” and this is a time for Aaryn to make some big moves on Big Brother 15. Will she or not? The Power of Veto Ceremony was just held and time to see what she did in my Big Brother 2013 spoilers below!

We all know that Elissa will take herself off the block (obviously) and then it is time for Aaryn to put up a renom. The live feeds were blowing up yesterday with talk and attempts at backdooring Amanda and Helen was trying to get that into Aaryn’s head, but did it work???
Unfortunately, no it did not. Everyone is afraid of Amanda for some reason and it is never the right time to go after her, so Spencer goes up as the renom and Helen remains the target. Can Helen work the house this week to remain in the game, though???

There’s a shocker! Aaryn apparently is afraid to go after the Big Dog in the house….
But in retrospect I guess she didn’t want to piss off all sides of the house and be floating on her own little island with no alliance. That may be the best move right now for her game to put up amanda and piss off 3 more people…we could hope…but then they haven’t really done anything that we would want anyway.
I’m with you “What a surprise”, I had to take my heart pills when heard that spencer was ellisa’s replacement. Didn’t see that one coming. Why to go Aaryn that’s making a bold move, Well there is always Thursday, I fell a sleep trying to watch BBAD last, night, All I can say about this season is Boring!!!!!
Yep boring. I will not watch next season unless they select a better group of people and especially screen them for their insensiitivy and racist tendencies. CBS needs to shake this up by having duo elimination or something.
There is something going on in that house as of last nite on the 20th. On BBAD they are all acting different. Elissa is following around the pack? And doing yoga without her mat? And they all cooked a family dinner and sat around the table together ( minus Elissa) and they all went into the storage room ( including Elissa) talking and trying to be friends. It seems so bi-polar and strange. Amanda was told how pretty she is, GM. Was told by Helen how great, pretty and entertaining she is and Amanda actually took a shower and did her hair “for her man”? Ugh! Production is reading the hate blogs and threated them with something lol- it’s even stranger than usual to see Elissa trying to be friends with everyone!
She screwed up by not putting up Amanda & McRae to start with. McRae would not go after her because he would be running for his life if Amanda left
I agree Cajun, she should of put up the REAL power couple…but in her mind she is tight with them and the real threat to her alliance was Helen & elissa..I guess if you’re not going to put up the real power you go for the secondary power and piss off less people.
Yes but, now she was trying to get out Amanda. she knows Andy is a rat so she could go after Spencer and tell Andy if cSpencer doesn’t go home then she knows her final 2 with him is a fake and you’ll have vowed to put him up against Amanda next time you’ll win HOH. Tell him Spencer, Amanda, And McRae have 1 comp. You’ll have won 8 comps. Does he feel comfortable that his alliance will win enough HOH comps. To make it to the end.
I think Mcray would be thrilled if Amanda was gone. He is just staying by her because it is safe. He keeps rolling his eyes when she talks. He is so over her. He could win without her.
I’ve read all of the opinions on the new comment and mine is not going to be a popular one. I think Aaryn did exactly the right thing by putting up Spencer next to Helen to get Helen out. If she keeps Amanda in the game until the final 2 or 3, and the jury has to vote for the winning player, they are not going to vote for the one who laid in bed with her showmance the entire season, but they will vote for the one who won the most HOH’s and still kept up a pretty good social game in spite of a bad start. I think Aaryn is smarter than you guys are giving her credit for and can see beyond this one eviction to the end game. Also, when it comes down to the last few comps, Amanda has little chance of winning against Aaryn, and Aaryn can keep on taking Amanda with her to the end and be sitting beside someone who was disliked for her lack of gameplay the entire time. OK, there I’ve said it. I have gone against everyone on this new comment, but it is only my opinion like everyone else’s and the end game remains to be played out.
You are correct webkitten. My bf and I were talking about that the other day. As much as I dislike Aaryn because of her bigotry and uncaring attitude toward others and their feelings….she is playing the smartest right now. But I don’t know if she would win against Amanda in the end because the sheeple may vote for Amanda for the main fact that she got to the final 2 without winning any comp’s and in reality has no blood on her hands since she did not put any of the up…her sheep did. So she may win on the grounds that she is a master sheep hearder! LOL

Aaryn surely would not want to be sitting there in the F2 with Helen! I believe Helen would out speak Aaryn and would win over her. That’s why I think Aaryn was smart to be sure to get Helen out first. When the final 2 have their last say, I think Aaryn will inform the jury that Amanda was the one who made the selections for her to put up and if not Amanda, then Helen did. I think the only time Aaryn made her own selections was the first time she was HOH and that was before she realized she was going to have to change her ways to get along with the people in the house.
True but then they could always say that she really didn’t play a good game since everyone made her selections for her and she didn’t think for herself.
I agree that she doesn’t have much chance against Helen. People seemed to like Helen (after all she was always fluffing up their egos and pep talking them, even if it was just for game)
…and yet if she hadn’t started playing along and agree to do their bidding, she would have been out the next eviction or soon after. her going along with “the house” is what kept her in the game all this time. I don’t think Helen has the advantage because she stroked everyone’s ego’s because they are all on to that, but because Helen is such a good speaker and can talk her way out of a paper bag.
Okay, you both are potentially correct about Aaryn’s gameplay, that that doesn’t change she isn’t doing what makes ME happy!! (And, of course, that’s what really counts!) 🙂

I am so sick of Amanda and Macrae…especially Amanda. Both are nasty and dirty. Seems like all they do is eat and lay around. No matter who is HOH Amanda has her butt planted in their bed. She is disgusting. I am about ready to quit watching. If she wins I will know CBS had this rigged. I read where she is friends with someone on the show. Why else would everyone be scared of her. Andy is such a wuss……he just keeps floating as does Spencer.Thought maybe Helen and Elissa could get some change going in the house. Maybe Aryn will wake up and see that Amanda and Macrae are just using her. Now with the twist of an evicted houseguest coming back, I hope somebody gets ome game and goes after Amanda before it is too late.

BT?????? What are you drinking? Julie is wonderful, Amanda is playing the best game of anyone in the house with Aaryn a good 2nd. Aaryn told GM last night that Amanda tells her the truth while Helen lies to her and Andy listened to everything during Aaryn’s hoh’s and told everyone in the house. That is why Aaryn said she would give Amanda her vote for the money. I picked out Amanda at the beginning….. she has the best personality and she is also human. I don’t fault her for being human, defending herself, being upset with herself herself and clinging to McCrae. Hope she wins.

Hey Jewelle…you do make some valid points and I hate break it to you, but Amanda is friends with a producer and she’s really not player the game, just people…she couldn’t even win a HOH that was thrown for her…we don’t see what goes on in the diary room, but there is a reason that everysingle eviction has damm near been everyone voting the same way…worst season I have seen so far and have been a fan since season 1…very disappointed

I believe that most fans are aware that there is SOME manipulation on the part of BB (through edits, DR questions, which comps are played when). However, (in my opinion) there was always the belief that everyone had a equal chance of winning.

I agree with you. I think there’s some manipulation (comps, questions, edits) on BBs part. But as i posted yesterday, i think you would have to have ALL HGs in on the conspiracy. Some of these particular HGs, in my opinion, are lacking the ability to keep up the charade for 3 months. A CONTINUAL charade. 24/7. I equate BB with going on a job interview. Your Dad, Brother, Husband, whatever it may be, helped you get the interview. But once on the job they can no more determine your ability, or your rise or fall within the company than anyone else. Even if they coach you on how to do it or make suggestions for a better outcome, it’s still up to you to make the job successful. It’s just my opinion. No one has to agree with me. I’ve been a fan for 15 years and will continue to be one. I won’t help kill the show i love just because Amanda knew someone that helped her get there. I don’t believe there is a predetermined outcome. I think we have a weak cast that has allowed the strongest personality to rule them. The blame for that falls squarely on THEIR sholders.
The bigger problem is that whoever wins the $500,000 will walk away from this learning nothing about the consequences of their deplorable behavior. For that person the end will have justified the means.

My fandom hinges on whether they keep this “beautiful 20-something only” formula for selecting HGs next season. Then – though I’ll miss people on this page – I won’t be joining you for another season. In that arena, you are a more loyal fan that I, I guess!
I agree Cat, but Lilly, really, the men were not in the 20’s beautiful group at all. Usually there is one guy that I love to watch, not this year, not a one.

They did throw in a couple regulars/fans (or at least they thought) like Spencer, the token gay person/fan (Andy), McCrae regular/fan, A couple married moms…and the rest really were aspiring to something (all young and good looking) Just my 2cents worth.

I dont understand why fans think going against your alliance to be on your own afterwards helps you further in your game. It would have been a bad choice for aaryn to put up amanda. Only spencer can put up amanda at this point. Anyone else would create too many enemies

It would be interesting to see how Elissa will vote this week? If she makes it a unanimous vote, based on what has been going on so far. It appears that she may be voting with the house so as not to get blindsided. However, Helen will go to the jury house, only to compete with 3 others to get back into the game. It will be interesting if Helen will keep using Elissa as she has in the past. Good game move for Aaryn, if she put up Amanda, she would have Andy & McCrea go against her next week when she cannot compete in the HOH competition as out going HOH. These players this year are thinking 2 3 weeks ahead of the game, that is why they are not putting out people until certain times. Karma is a bitch and it will come back to bite Amanda in the end. I think McCrea has visibly been keeping himself more and more away from her, too late, I fear as the rest of the house does not trust that he won’t still keep her around just to have him win all the votes from the Jury. After all, he has no blood on his hands, only Amanda.
I think elissa will be the next to go if she doesn’t win HOH. I would like to be surprised and see a REALLY good blindside, but I think the next 3 to go will be Elissa, Spencer and GM. Then Aaryn, Andy, Amanda and McCrea will have to start taking each other out. I think if it gets to these final 4, Andy will be the first to go.
I agree with you about McCrea, he does seem to be distancing himself from Amanda,at times. It will be interesting (possibly for the first time this season) to see who turns on the other first, Amanda or McCrea.
I remember a DR comment he made a week or so ago, when Amanda was throwing another of her hissey fits, that “This relationship was sounding alot like his prior relationships”.That doesn’t bode well.
I used to think McCrae was the only one left who deserved to actually win this – mostly because I truly believe he would have been a totally different player without Amanda around. But now, I’ve lost all respect for him. I know it would take COLOSSAL balls to turn on Amanda now (even though I agree he is tiring of her), but he’s just content to lay back, never bathe, and let Amanda do what little gameplay is involved aside from bullying. Talk about a sugar-momma. Even though I truly think he is tired of her, I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t entertaining the possibility of getting to F2 with her, and if she wins it’s no big because he can just mooch off Amanda outside the house for a while, too. Maybe I’m misjudging him; I don’t know him. But that’s just a feeling….
I don’t see McCrea living off Amanda, I think when the show is over so is the romance. He didn’t want to actually do the BB wedding the other night.
You may be right, Sandy. He did seem kind of reluctant to go through with the fake marriage, and yet he did say some nice vows, so it’s hard to tell with him how he really feels.

I think that Elissa should’ve used the POV on Helen! That would’ve thrown everybody off. She says she wants to go home, well that was her chance. I agree, there is seriously something wrong with a woman who wants to play a “game” on television. She brags she makes $125,000 a year, her husband is a judge and she left her children for a good amount of time. I’m not judging, just wondering why she would do this. I have to ask: WHAT in the world do you love about Andy? In any other season, someone with a BRAIN would have confronted him with his lies and tattletale-ing ways and he’d have been marked for eviction. The first few weeks, it was laughable how often he “popped” into conversations from nowhere! I do have to hand it to him: Helen was buying his BS hook, line and sinker last night when he looked her straight in the face and said she had his vote. I guess face-to-face he seems innocent and trustworthy. He nods and agrees with whatever the person in front of him is saying! How does his sleazy, two-faced, back-stabbing make him any better than Helen, just because no one has called him on it yet?

Is it only me, or are you noticing a disconnect between Amanda & McCrae? He seems to be staying very quiet lately, and doesn’t seem to be entertaining Amanda’s little love games……watching them lay on the hammock, his face said it all…I really don’t think they’ll last very long once out of that house….I’ve said It before, but I believe it even more now.
Soooo… I just searched Amanda Zuckerman on bing and it came up with a prior reality show she had been cast for by none other than Alison Godner. She is shown in a clip where she is supposedly ” acting ( acting just like she does in the BB household) by being the boss? ( who would have guessed!) for some body hiring other people. She is also rumored to be right with Mike Boogie and his restaurant affiliates, The Dolce Group. There is also another link linking her to Grodner’s show. It was suggested on that site that when she is called into the DR that someone might possibly coaching her on moves as she always seems to be in the right place at the right time. So, her entitlement actually might be cause for concern and disgust . I’m just saying this is kind of coincidental with what that person from supposedly CBS had posted about prior picking of Zuckerman to win. In any case, she is an actress of some sort definitely not just a nobody the way we are programmed to think BB is played….

OMG!! Watching McCrae now on BBAD having to CONSOLE Amanda about how Helen is campaigning against Amanda and she’s not even on the block. Poor, poor, pitiful me…. The backwards way McCrae has to convince Amanda that she’s safer than him from getting put on the block in the coming weeks because HE is the bigger threat. I mean, he is trying to make her feel better, right?
DO you think that Amanda is like that at home? I wouldn’t think so since she WAS selling million dollar listings in Miami. I do feel that some of this is merely game play on her part. Who knows, McCrea may be doing the same thing to her, just not as openly, however, he has been on many secret alliances. Doesn’t anyone remember he was on the Moving company and it wasn’t till they got out Nick that he had to come clean because he didn’t want spencer or Howard ruining his game with Amanda. After all, it was Spencer/Howard who told McCrea that they were going after her. I think now, he is just getting tired of constantly putting out all of the fires she has created, but he did do them with her.

If I were the other house guests when she walks out the door Thursday they should grab Helens arms and do the Helen shake and tell her how good she done and how great it was that they carried her to jury!…LMAO Helen has got to be one of the worst BB players EVER! You and I live on totally different planets. Let me give you a clue, though, as to which of us is a little “off”: If by some miracle CBS gave America one more negative power – to put someone on the block or send someone home – the OVERWHELMING response would be Amanda.

I would pick Elissa over Amanda anyday! True she has no where near the game play that her sister had but overall she pretty much keeps to herself and doesn’t sell herself out to appease the house! Amanda is just really a big bullying who is like the queen of hearts….they talked about me…off with their heads.
I agree JO1, I know Elissa isn’t perfect. And heaven knows she isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but I picture myself, even at Elissa’s age – a big more mature, with a child – stuck in this house with these insufferable, shallow, immature brats who talk about bodily functions (last night was a story from Aaryn about how an adult friend of her dad’s “sh*t” in the middle of the living room floor). Good grief! I have NO idea how Elissa is keeping her sanity! Even if McCrae or Elissa or Spencer have any game in them, they are tucking their tails between their legs and keeping their (game) mouths SHUT to save their BB lives.
That would be hilarious to see the whole cast go up to her and to the rah rah, good game, you are the Best! speech, we have had to hear it everytime, this week after Elissa won and the two of them were in the Have not room, could Helen be any more sick about the pep talk. Really, she wasn’t all that.
It would be great to hear them all give her a rah rah good game speech as she walks out the door…That would be the icing on her BB cake 🙂
Amanda is AWESOME! She puts the snakes in their place and then sends them packing! She has got to be one of the BEST BB players ALL TIME! It is not all about competitions. You have to know how to build relationships and make it through the house. Amanda also kicks the bullies where it hurts and for that MY whole town LOVES her! There is like 100 or so ppl who get together every BB night we tune in and root for “The 3 AM alliance”! Its 3 AM now lets kick some snakes out!

And I’m probably pretty sure we here all can spot a phony when we see one since so many grace us with their presence! Aaryn doesn’t realize her chances of making the final 2 with Amanda are about as likely as her winning the Powerball Lottery. Why these people don’t see what a witch Amanda is, is beyond me, but Helen will go to Jury, that is a given. The only saving grace could be that Elissa wins HOH and puts up McCrae and Amanda on the block.

Amanda is not stupid(just a bully) She knows that. She will not bring Arryn that far. She would rather bring spencer or GM because she knows they’re despicable human beings in America’s eyes.
