Big Brother 2014 Live Recap: Episode 27 – Nicole For The Win?
|We are in for some changes tonight on Big Brother 2014, which is exciting in it’s way. Well, it won’t be any changes in the power in the Big Brother 2014 house, but it is changes with only one HoH winner is crowned for Week 9 and no Battle of the Block to sit through trying to see someone new try and throw it unsuccessfully on Big Brother 16! If you are one of those people that refuse to read any of our Big Brother 2014 spoilers and you only watch the shows on CBS then you have no idea what has happened since the show ended on Thursday night and Nicole won the jury competition and earned a spot back in the Big Brother 2014 house! If you do keep up, then you know all the excitement that has happened since then and the drama and tears that are hopefully shown tonight! We get to see the new HoH competition play out and the nominees for Week 9 being named and only one HoH to do it!

Here we go…we see Nicole after her big victory and Hayden whispered in her ear Derrick and Cody! Good job, Hayden! As much as it is a celebration, Frankie keeps it real and said they want her and Donny gone. Jocasta tells her to stay strong and stay with Donny!
They are worried about her being back in the house and they will be working together. Yes, the two of them can take on six people, right? Donny talks with Nicole and tells her about what has been going on and he won Battle of the Block on his own and Christine threw it. Victoria is standing there and listening and as she walks away Donny said she doesn’t even know she is there or what’s going on!
Everyone else is scheming and they all have hate for Donny because he is trying to campaign earlier in the week. They all laugh about it, but everything Donny says is true and everyone but him is too stupid to see it and Derrick knows it! It is so funny to see these people all worried about Donny and Nicole talking. Derrick said they need to win HoH and then put them both on the block. They still have the numbers. Um, even if one flipped they still have a 5-2 lead!
Caleb can kick….or so he thinks and that is all I am saying on that one!
HOH COMPETITION: They head out to a boxing ring! They will be played over six rounds and Frankie will read an event from the first 50 days. They will punch either 1 or 5 to get to the day the event happened. The last fighter to answer in each round will be eliminated and the last one standing will win HoH!
ROUND 1: They literally said from the first 50 days and Victoria puts in 70! Yup, she is smart, but she gets it before Nicole and she is out!
ROUND 2: At this point, who miss Joey??? Victoria is out this round.She says who even remembers Joey, but who even knows who you are?
ROUND 3: Christine is out!
ROUND 4: Caleb is out!
ROUND 5: Donny is a big guess and love his reaction to being right on Big Brother 2014! Derrick is out and Donny still has the dream against Cody!
FINAL ROUND: Donny was so close with his first attempt, but Cody wins and is HoH for Week 9.
Derrick is excited that Cody gets the blood on his hands. That damn blood again.He mentions Christine not pulling her weight, but who knows when that will come into affect. Donny and Nicole not happy with their fate now in the game. Cody gets his HoH room and Donny tells him he thought he was a dumb college student all summer long! This offends him.
Nicole talks to Cody in the HoH room and he said he wants Donny out and she only talks to him because she feels like an outsider to all of them. She tries to campaign to do work for him in the future and keep him safe, so Cody says he’ll consider it, but he won’t.
Now Derrick is working the seeds nicely, as his first target is Christine and she is dangerous and no one knows where she is going to go and working both sides of the house. Well, duh. She has been doing this all summer, but you all keep her around!
We see the transformation of Derrick and trying to blend into the house and cast. Then Nicole talks with Victoria, Cody and Christine about Hayden and they had a little showmance in the jury house! Later on, Cody is sleeping in the HoH room (alone, mind you) and Donny comes in to chat about the nominations. Probably not the best time to chat, huh Donny. No one acts on what he says, but they all know he makes valid points. Why get rid of the guy that is alone and not the ones working with others?
We see Derrick and Donny talking about Team America. He says he was upset about Donny turning down the earlier mission and saying he was there to play Donny’s game. Derrick is such a hypocrite on so many things and I know it is part of the game, but he says Donny has been lying to him, but he does the same thing and lied right to Donny! And he was ticked about Frankie lying about who he is, but Derrick is not being honest with them either.
NOMINATION CEREMONY: Time for Cody’s “epic” speech! He nominates Nicole and Donny, so no shocker there. He tells them he loves them both….gosh, Cody is so mean!

These HG’s remind me of that cartoon, from the 50’s, when I was a kid watching,I don’t recall what animated animal, looking dumb saying “Which way did they go? Which way did they go? Huh? Huh?”, which is exactly what I expect out of Cody! And he has the nerve to refer to his Italian heritage! He’s an embarrassment to us Italians as no Italian I know would be so whimpy as he and Frankie(another Italian)are!

Suzanne, my favorite aunt is from Italy, and I cringed when he said that–she would be mortified.
Truthfully, if Derrick tried to tell any of the guys I grew up with, or any of our son for that matter, how they should be playing their game while in the HOH room, suffice it to say their language with him would not be suitable for television, and the other players would be told, under no uncertain terms to grow a pair and play their own game, not the game of a mini dictator!
If I was Italian I sure wouldn’t tell anybody now. Cody is a dumb ass. Excuse me ladies but it just had to be said. Bless his heart he doesn’t know his right from his left.
Frankie is a bigger embarrassment. Everything about him drives me nuts. They would be the first 2 Italians that I would not like if I met them! They are a total disgrace. Glad they are not related to me cause I would never admit it. I would Deny Deny Deny it forever!

Anybody want to go in with me to buy the “gifts?” My cats have offered to help fill the box to leave on the doorstep 😉
The only thing that will keep me going now is seeing the faces on those who have been Derrick’s puppets as he cuts their strings one by one by one!

Instead of calling themselves “The Detonators”, they should be calling themselves “Derrick’s Stepfords”! Because watching this season has been like watching a three time a week version of the movie from, I think, the 70’s called “The Stepford Wives”!

One last plea idea for Donny &/or Nicole. they need to talk with Derrick & Cody together and convince them that Frankie needs to go this week. They could argue (Nicole especially) that everyone in the jury house right Now has will vote for Frankie to win. Zach-obviously a vote, even if he was evicted bc of Frankie. Jocasta would vote for him if he was sitting next to anyone but Donny. Hayden told Donny a few days before he left that if Frankie was in the F2, Hayden would vote for him (lie, but Derrick & Cody need not know). Then there’s Christine & Caleb who have become close with Frankie over the past few weeks. Cody & Derrick have both made that observation, Caleb even admitted to Derrick that he would vote for Frankie, plus Frankie admitted to Derrick that he feels threatened by him bc people like him and he hasn’t been on the block. That’s 5 votes for Frankie and that’s all he needs to win. Take Nicole or Donny down and they have the votes they need to get rid of Frankie (Derrick, Victoria and Donny or Nicole). They could take it further and make a deal that if either of them win HOH next week, they’ll put up Caleb and Christine, with Victoria as renom/pawn. The detonators are going to have to go after each other at one point, but why not have an outsider do a little dirty work so you don’t get as much blood on your hands(looking at you, Derrick) The 4 of them keep each other safe for 2 more weeks, then all bets are off. Just an idea that probably won’t happen, but…I’m.still holding out some hope. Maybe if they

Yea, but it was caricature, and imagine how Joey feels. I can see coloring your hair blue or making fun of people’s speaking habits (from what I remember, Frankie seemed to get her right there). But to make fun of a girl for having a large rearend, when it wasn’t even large – just largER than tiny – is disgusting to me. Maybe it’s because I’m pear-shaped from birth. My daughter struggled from very young with hating herself because she had a a largER backside (not large, mind you, just not tiny). We were BORN that way.

I totally understand…..I thought it was all pretty much what they have been doing all season, making fun of each other behind each others back. The only difference is that the hgs they were making fun of weren’t there to defend themselves and won’t be able to until the reunion show.
You know what I find most revolting of all, Tommy? That all these hgs take this sort of behavior in stride, apparently. Zach has “absolutely NO hard feelings.” Everyone from BB15 appears to be the best of friends despite the horrid things they said about each other personally while in the house. I know this is a game of deception and manipulation. I get that. But this sort of treatment of other human beings is NOT acceptable in normal society (I mean, aside from game play and lying, etc.) and should NOT be acceptable inside the BB house either.

I agree…..I get some of the lying and bad behavior for the game, but not all of it is necessary for them to win. If i was on there and watched the season after, I would surely not be friends with some of these people. I love the talk Donny and Nicole had when they were cooking after the “play” Nicole was scared she might have said something bad (she didn’t) and Donny didn’t want to portray Jacosta because he didn’t want to offend her.

Yep, I cut Frankie off very quickly–and he is supposed to be the Broadway star???? Yeah, sure.
1st commercial break … this is absolutely hysterical … so far each of them has portrayed the many quirks of each of the evicted hgs … I particularly liked Nicole’s portrayal of Brittany.

TVGN Tommy. Now, this is the 2nd commercial break. I think TVGN chose not to break until there was a break in what the hgs were doing (i.e. Victoria had to go the bathroom so that was the 1st commercial break). Now, the 2nd CB is because it’s over. All in all, I still say it was funny … quirky but funny. Hey, they’re cooped up in a house with no outside entertainment. Altho’ I didn’t like Frankie’s plan at 1st, this was a great ‘break’ for alll of the hgs. I was happy to see they all participated and were able to put the ‘game’ on hold for a few minutes.

I was amazed to see that she might actually have a personality–of course, it was supposed to be Amber’s personality but still…that was progress of a sort! And she did seem to be enjoying herself for a change–so that is good.

Caleb wasn’t very comfortable playing Hayden so now he’s gone off on a tangent and is displaying his talents with versions of 2 other characters. I liked and laughed at the planned TA play, but Caleb is being ridiculous now..

I’m glad it made you laugh, though, cuddles. I just want Derrick and Frankie to get the message that that was a lame assignment and we would have preferred they save Donny. Derrick is smart enough to figure that out. It’ll be too late – unless they do decide to vote out Nicole – which I regret – but it may save Donny a while longer if he stays this week. The flip side to that is that they may interpret it to mean we want TA to keep each other safe. Which we don’t.

Suzanne, they had a ‘play’ earlier. Each of the remaining hgs took on the personna of each of the evicted hgs. Frankie was Joey ~ hence the makeup.
Only I don’t ever remember Joey wearing that much make-up. *roll my eyes* 😛

Did anything happen last night that’s worth mentioning? I just couldn’t make myself watch it.
I don’t blame you Shirene, this year is the worst BB season ever. I wont be watching next year if this show is even renewed that is for sure. It is like they are running out of things to keep the show going. They do stupid stuff to let their favorite win. We all know production has their hands in this, and have their pick to win.
It’s kinda like TAR, they have run out of stuff to do, it all seems like the same thing after so many years

I actually applied to be on America’s TAR, but they said you have to be in pretty much perfect health. I have Crohn’s disease so that disqualifies me from getting on any of the good reality shows 🙁

It’s just part of life. I have struggled but had no choice. I could easily do what they do on the show with no problems, but I guess they think I will die or something. I went untreated for 10 years and counting due to lack of insurance thanks to obamacare and Missouri, but the ER does fine if I need help. The only side effect I have are kidney stones and I can deal with that…..I just wish they would let me sign a release or something saying I won’t sue them or something….I would love to be able to travel like they do around the world!!!
My niece goes for treatments each month “humira” I think that is it. She suffers also with kidney stones, it is bad and I feel for her. I hope you are doing well Tommy, I will pray for you.
Survivor starts on 9/24 we will have something worth watching then.
