I understand why Paul lost. But, does anyone really think Josh was the better player? Even Jessica, who is Cody’s “ride or die” admitted she would have voted for Paul, if she made it to jury. She had time to go home, and look at the game with open perspective, as opposed to the bitter mostly floaters, who just wanted revenge in Jury. They got it. But, really, Josh played a better game than Paul? We knew Cody was voting against Paul, no matter who he was against. And, that’s why he won AFP. It was again more of a anti-Paul vote, than a pro -Cody vote. Not that I feel bad for Paul. He will be back again. And, in the mean time, he will make lots of money and be a celebrity away from the house. Sorry to you never-Pauler’s. But, he played the best game, and deserved to win. I think his only mistake, was bringing Josh to the final 3, and not Kevin. Which he could have done, if he let Josh win that Veto comp. He already saw on the Diary Room videos how Josh basically threw him under the bus, in the good-bye tapes. He will also see how Josh was seriously thinking about getting Paul out several times towards the end. I’ll look for Paul in a future All-Stars, or Veteran’s BB.
As much as I love Dr. Will, I actually found his interviews with the jury boring, I was expecting more from him, his questions were a snore fest in my opinion. He still looks darn good though (sorry Cat).
I will say that Paul played the better game, however, Jury Management is a huge part of the game and that’s where he failed. Then as Julie said in her post finale interview with Dr. Will, Paul didn’t own up to what he did and went the cocky route in his F2 speech. I feel like if he was a little more transparent in his F2 speech (which is again where he failed in Jury Management) he probably could have won. He did deserve to win based on game play, but again, he left the jury bitter instead of trying to manage it.
Thank you Tammie
Alan, I respect your well-though-out opinion (no mud-slinging hatred, thank you!). And for hanging around here articulating it knowing you’re in the minority! I agree, Josh did NOT deserve to win. Frankly, no one in that stupid house deserved to win the money this season – except MAYBE Jessica, who saw through Paul and had a bit of a social game if it weren’t for Cody. So I for one, am sick to my stomach that the bully-baby Josh got the money, but I’m appeased because Paul was not rewarded for his nasty manipulations into bullying and alienations of soon-to-be-evicted hgs–most of which were not necessary.
But Paul’s big mistake was that he was TOO good at lying and too good at friendship. Every one of those evicted hgs HONESTLY believed what Paul was telling them about being THEIR friend to the end. (How else do you explain ZERO paranoia this season?) Right up until they were evicted and learned in the jury house that their relationship was NOT special and in fact may not have been real. Just like a cheating spouse, Paul reaped the penalty of betrayal. To be fair, I think Paul DOES like these people. And if he’d owned up to his lying and apologized at the jury questioning, I believe at least one of them (maybe Alex or Jason) would have flipped. All he needed was ONE. Instead, those jurors honestly believed EVERYTHING Paul did all season – including the friendship – was a masterful lie. And it’s too early to forgive that. I’m willing to bet some will regret their vote later. But jury management is part of BB, and Paul screwed that up big time – last night, at least.
Karma is a b*tch. Paul knows that now.
No, Josh was not the better player. What he WAS is honest about his moves. Paul wasn’t. Someone forgot to tell Paul that it was the finale and he was still trying to place blame instead of owning it. He pretty much rubbed it in their faces. He’s a freakin’ VET and should know better. To win people over you do not tell them how stupid they are (he didn’t use those words but it added up to the same thing). You play them like a fiddle until they’re singing your song. But you don’t change the tune right before the fat lady sings. Now he’s doing a solo and his participation trophy is in the mail. Poor, poor, poor jury management.
I watched 3-4 interviews early on, and I agree they were either boring or awkward. Still … he’s worth watching, even if the tv is muted! And I’m willing to bet he will improve if given the gig again.
I didn’t hear a word any of them said. The view was too good 🙂
I thought they were more entertaining than this season was…
You’re welcome =)
One other plus about the whole night is that Ratty was in the audience and i’m SURE she was disappointed about Paul losing. Karma always takes it time but is never too late.
I read that Dr. Will had to apologize because he kidded about Jeff being dead. He later had to backtrack and explain Jeff was living in Colorado and was just fine. Sheesh! People it was a JOKE! The man is not only gorgeous but has a sense of humor.
I think he will get better, it’s just in his DNA, he keeps getting better and better no matter what.
100% agree!
I don’t remember last year’s interviews at all so I can’t compare.
I didn’t watch last years because the troll was doing them.
One thing I found sad, was the look on Kevin’s face when he realized the truth about Paul and how not only he but pretty much everyone was taken in my him. I was so glad the truth finally came out about the “puppet master” though.
haha maybe I didn’t watch it either, I really don’t remember.
Applause applause Lilly, so well put!
I didn’t see her. And karma, truer words have never been spoken.
I have to agree with you Mary. He had a tough (odd) jury to contend with and he has to try to keep it as neutral as possible. I got the impression that he was trying to make an argument (albeit subtle) for Paul to win because he used them and outsmarted them. I’m glad that they were mostly bitter! The best part(s) for me was when it came down to Cody’s vote to decide the winner and of course he was AFP!
true but so was watching paint dry…! 😉
LOL!
I don’t either LOL
Yep, I used to like Paul and found him likeable, entertaining and funny. The worst thing he did was come back on BB and played the way he did. I now pray that I never have to see Paul on any type of TV program! I think he showed his true colors this year.
Teeheehee! She certainly seems to have changed since her first season, eh?
Totally agree, JO1. Totally. I liked Ratty her first season, too. BIG MISTAKE to come back a second time. Apparently you have to sell your soul to the devil to return … and win as a vet on BB.
