Big Brother 2014 News: CBS Renews Big Brother For Two More Seasons
|While we have survived another season of Big Brother, even though it was tough at times, we should all get ready for even more, as CBS announced that it has renewed Big Brother for two more seasons! Yup, we will have Big Brother 17 in Summer 2015 and Big Brother 18 in Summer 2016. Who thinks that far ahead??? Details below in our Big Brother 2014 spoilers!
Per the press release from CBS, here are the renewal details:
“CBS has renewed the summer reality hit BIG BROTHER for its 17th and 18th editions for broadcast in summer 2015 and 2016. The series is hosted by Julie Chen.
Since premiering on CBS in the summer of 2000, BIG BROTHER has consistently finished among the summer’s top-rated series in young demographics. This summer’s edition is up +2% in viewers (7.56m from 7.39m) and +4% in adults 18-49 (2.7/09 from 2.6/08), while averaging 3.1/09 in adults 25-54 and 1.9/08 in adults 18-34. All three weekly broadcasts of BIG BROTHER rank among the top 10 programs of the summer in adults 18-49.
‘BIG BROTHER continues to be the one of the summer’s most dominant programs, and with each season, Allison and Rich produce the most twisted ways to evolve the series creatively,’ said Chris Castallo, CBS Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming. ‘With its one-of-a-kind format, coupled with its passionate, socially engaged fan base, no other show comes close to duplicating it.’
‘Big Brother After Dark,’ the ultimate fan after-show for BIG BROTHER with a live late-night look inside the House, has also been renewed for next summer. ‘Big Brother After Dark’ will air exclusively on POP, a new cable network (currently known as TVGN) launching in 2015.
In addition to its popularity on broadcast and cable, BIG BROTHER is one of television’s most socially engaged series. According to Nielsen’s SocialGuide, BIG BROTHER is the #1 social broadcast reality show of the summer.”
So, now we have POP and no more TVGN? Just a name change, so don’t expect any big changes to how BBAD is shown. And they are all holding on to this being a “twisted” summer, huh??? Either way, we’ll all be together for two more seasons!

Julie commented yesterday that we won’t be getting All Stars until a few more seasons have come and gone. I was hoping next year but i guess they can’t find enough that qualify as All Stars.

Oh Kinky Lady…well me guy is not 23 but he is younger than me….eight years…it took me 6 months before I would go out with him…I did not want to be a cougar…but he is the best thing that ever happened to me.

Age is just a state of mind. Did you see the story yesterday about the 90 year old dude skateboarding??? That will be me. Only instead of skateboarding i will think of some other activity that will take me on a wild ride. 🙂 🙂

Just as long as you don’t do what I did…Went to my Drs. awhile back…she said how hold are you…I said 23…she looked at me and I said okay what year is it…Next Jan. I will be old enough to collect my pension.
HAHAHA that is great Janet. You are only as old as you feel anyway. I seem to find all the teenagers hanging at my house in the neighborhood.
My 17 year old Granddaughter calls me her “Cool Grandma” because I still like going to Amusement Parks, play computer games and, even though it’s very old, still have, and play, on my Playstation 2. I’ve also worked at GameStop and Six Flags Great America and loved both of them.
That will never get mentioned Suzanne. Most of the people who post are up in the age group or close as well. We come to Todds site because we love our Todd

I’m having BB withdrawal
Me Too Cat. Mary and I have been saying that allot.
Survivor tomorrow night! I love Survivor but somehow it’s not the same. I think it’s because we don’t have live feeds or 3 shows a week.
I have been a Survivor fan from the beginning but no, there is just no comparison to BB being on 3 times a week and the live feeds and after dark. They need more in between.
I realize they can’t have live feeds (where the heck would they hang the cameras – from the trees!!). But i do think they should up it to 2 shows a week. I’m sure a lot happens that they can’t show in an hour.

A little boy wanted $50 very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened.
Finally he decided to write God a letter requesting the $50.When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to God, USA, they decided to forward it to the President of the United States as a joke.
The President was so amused, that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $20 bill. The President thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.
The little boy was delighted with the $20 bill, and decided to write a thank you note to God, which read: “Dear God: Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed that you sent it through the White House in Washington, DC. And those donkeys deducted $30.00 in taxes”
