Big Brother 2014 Spoilers: Big Brother After Dark Returning To TVGN
|Not many of you are going to be happy about this information, but it looks like Big Brother After Dark will be returning to TVGN for Big Brother 16, as our Big Brother 2014 spoilers are letting us know. There were many complaints with the coverage last season and the bleeping out of every other word, so we can only hope that they make changes for Big Brother 16! Check out the details below in my Big Brother 2014 spoilers!
Zap2It let us know of the information, as TVGN announced their programming information. As they stated:
“For the second year in a row, TVGN will be the exclusive television destination for the live, late night companion show to CBS’s Big Brother, one of television’s most talked-about and socially engaged reality series. Big Brother: After Dark gives fans of the popular reality series an unfiltered, late night look at life in the Big Brother House. The show features a live television feed from inside the house, where nothing is sacred and anything goes.”
Nothing is sacred and anything does go, but will TVGN be showing us that??? The bleeps were not fun to listen to and it made it difficult to even understand what the HGs were saying. Maybe we will get some clean-mouthed HGs this season and not have to worry about it??? And as I reported the other day, CBS is running the live feeds again for Big Brother 16.

Very well said, Todd! I know why you all don’t like TVGN. It was, indeed, hard to watch – especially with ignorant youngsters who don’t know how to talk unless they are swearing up a blue streak! But I’m glad for this because I don’t have Showtime (would never pay for it just for BB!), and will probably be losing sleep watching After Dark with you!
Of course, that’s assuming they give us something worth watching…!

I think it may be a way that they think they can sell more of the live feeds.

Todd you made me LOL (and my bf looked at me inquiringly), when you said we might get some clean-mouthed HGs this season. Not bloody likely :). Unless of course they recruit some ex nuns/priests/alter boys/girl scouts etc… But it’s possible they may want to make up for lost time (in the vocabulary department) and be worse than your average teen/young adult with the salty language. But even older adults are not immune to dropping F-bombs. I have no problem with an occasional FU but when every sentence uttered contains those 2 letters of the alphabet, i think maybe we should lower the count to 24 letters in the English language instead of 26. I guess it could be worse. I’m willing to deal with it as long as this years cast forgets using the R and H words (racist & homophobic). I’d rather hear them use the F-bomb due to lack of a decent vocabulary than use ones due to lack of intelligence.
I agree, Cat. Although I don’t personally like foul language (except when you hammer a nail in your thumb or something), but when your words have to be bleeped so much that the fan can’t even understand the commercial … that’s a bit much (as Todd pointed out)!!

My biggest problem with BBAD on TVGN is that it’s supposed to be uncensored. There’s no middle ground with that concept. Either it is or it isn’t. We are no longer a “fly on the wall” but are being nanny watched. False advertising at its finest.

I agree with all that has been said! Here is also what I don’t get about TVGN. It’s inconsisten! On Showtime, After Dark is obviously every night, on TVGN, it’s NOT. Not the same time, not the same length and not every night! I don’t get it. The season starts on Wednes, June 25th, and After Dark does not start until Saturday! There are some days it’s not on at all! There is no rhyme or reason to the airing!

Here is the schedule for BBAD and it will be on every night, but different times each night. And it starts Thursday night, June 26th after the two-night premiere ends, which is the same time the Live Feeds start:
Beginning Thursday, June 26, BIG BROTHER: AFTER DARK will air seven nights a week (11:00 PM-2:00 AM, live ET on Monday and Tuesday; 12:00 AM-2:00 AM, live ET on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; and 1:00 AM-3:00 AM, live ET on Thursday).
I’m with you 100% Lilly – I don’t like foul language at all and I don’t feel it’s necessary to use it in order to get a point across or to express how you feel about someone or something.
Im assuming everyone here are die-hard long time BB fans, correct?…
well, what’s the average age in the BB house?…under 30, right..look at BBCa this year almost all of them were under 30..
my point is depending how a kid is raised..they will use the Fuck word all the time or never and i think the first requirement of Kass is the HG’s have to say Fuck all the time to get in the house..
or that’s how it seems cause they all say it every year…i feel that’s how most people talk(not me) and we will always hear it… IDK, just my 2 cents, lol..☺..
Yep, we will always hear it. The more it’s heard, the more desensitized we become to it. I was curious as to what words people find unacceptable to say on tv. Research shows that f*ck is not even on the list. At the top of the list is ethnic slurs…such as the N word. It’s one of the most versatile words in the dictionary. Noun, verb, adverb, adjective…it fills the bill. It no longer has to carry a sexual meaning. So…when we hear conversations in the BB house, that word is the easiest to use as a filler. It requires no thought as to what word to use…it just slips into the sentence for them as easy as pie. Just like anything else…If you’re exposed to something enough, it no longer seems taboo. And most young adults have been exposed to it enough to where it’s not only normal to them…it’s completely acceptable.
Won’t ever get clean mouthed house guests. Most of the house guests each season are people who have no life and nothing better to do. Most are looking to make a quick buck doing nothing. Most people who watch are working people who could no way participate in something like this because they have families and jobs. Sorry, I love the show and watch each season, but would never expose myself like they do. Most, I said, most if these people are losers big time, example: Dirty Dick & his low life daughter. As far as TV NETWORK hosting BB AFTER DARK, it’s just another money maker for them. They want you to buy the live feeds that is why it is in there, more money for them with the live feeds.
This is what I was afraid they would do.
I loved when it was on Showtime. Nothing was deleted and you got to see the HG’s as they really were.
This will be the second year in a row now that I will not be watching After Dark.
Wise up CBS, either show it Unedited or don’t show it at all.
