Big Brother 2014 Spoilers: Week 6 – Power of Veto Ceremony
|There were a lot of questions heading into the Veto Meeting today on Big Brother 2014 and the HGs were going back-and-forth in wanting Christine to use it or not. The veto has been used every week on Big Brother 16, but this was the first week that it might be kept right where it is at and the nominees for Week 6 on Big Brother 16 may stay the same! In case you missed any of our Big Brother 2014 spoilers, lets get you caught up:
- Nicole and Donny won Head of Household for the week and their nominees were Jocasta & Zach and Caleb & Victoria
- Caleb and Victoria won the Battle of the Block competition, which meant they were off the block and Donny was dethroned as HoH for his nominees winning
- Nicole is the lone HoH for Week 6 and Jocasta and Zach remained on the block
- Christine was drawn as a Veto Player and won the Power of Veto competition

I agree with you both. The guys know he is weak and all he does is run his mouth. Derrick said that last week. So I would not be surprised.
Really it is time somebody put Derrick on the block. It is funny nobody sees what he is doing. And Frankie just goes along with him. I would like to see him and Frankie on the block. Wonder which one would go home? That day will come.
honestly I don’t care which of them goes. The one thing that does concern me is that the ‘boys’ will still have the #’s if Zach stays. Jocasta is really only good for a Donny #. Otherwise she is just a gnat. So adios to either one and bring on a good win Thursday night!
Jocasta is one of the worse players i’ve ever seen. And even though she’s been loyal to Donny (as he has to her), her only value seems to be her facial expressions. She rarely tries to talk game. As if some magical strategy is going to fall in her lap. God helps those that help themselves. And she’s not helping herself in the least. You’d think a minister would know that and play accordingly.
So true. Zach is probably the one to go but it should be Jocasta. Too bad, so sad.

I’ve heard that one as well and yes, it does soften it up.
Except that you dont know what’s going on in her mind, pertaining to the game. She’s got a good social game. She isnt being targeted by anyone, she’s considered more of a non-threat that they can get rid of anytime. The only thing is that seasons have been won by people just like that! There are many strategies that work. Heck, even being a floater is a strategy that has worked!
A lot of hgs tell us what they are thinking in the Diary Room. But she’s yet to reveal any type of strategy. You’re right that i don’t know what she is thinking pertaining to strategy but if she’s thinking ANYTHING she has yet to make a move to put it into action. She can’t win comps so she is solely relying on her social game. And although she’s well liked as a person, the other hgs use her as a pawn. And unless she is completely stupid (which i don’t think she is) she knows this. I don’t even consider her a floater. She doesn’t float from power to power. She just sticks with Donny and relies on him to do the dirty work. Nope i con’t consider her a floater…..just incompetent in the game of BB.
IDK I think Jocasta might be the one to go… I believe Derrick, Caleb, Frankie, Christine, Victoria and Cody will vote to keep Zach and Hayden and Donny will vote to keep Jocasta. Derrick and Frankie will want him for numbers and then are the mouth pieces for Christine, Victoria and Caleb.
I totally agree with you Ebony. Jacosta will be the one to get the boot. And with the votes you described.
WWDD (What would Derrick Do). I think the numbers are there for Zach to stay. Jocasta does nothing for Frankie, Derrick Cody or Caleb. Zach is a wildcard but more aligned with those 4. Derrick should see that this is another way to lower the chances of that side of the house getting together. Thoughts?
They seem to be jumping back and forth on the idea. They seem to want Zach gone, but then think numbers and want to keep him and then think he is a bigger target and then want him gone and Caleb could take his place as a vote their way. It is so screwy, but I think Zach will be gone by the end of the week.
Derrick has said exactly that – It’s all about the numbers. Considering who Zach is on the block with i suspect he will be safe for the first eviction. Derrick is no fool and he will do his best to keep the other side of the house short one vote. But this is DE week. And depending on who wins HOH, we could see Zach hit the bricks in the second eviction. Unless things change our only hope for any excitement is when the Detonators start eating their own.
That is what I think. It will be more etertaining for us that way if a floater or two goes out of the house but really this has been the summer of the floater. No one has really been willing to make the “big move” I know they tried to sell brit and amber as bigg blindsids but neither were power moves in the house that upset the balnce of numbers.
I think Christine just made a huge mistake…..How does she not see that she is the lowest member of her alliance and will be the first to go once the others are gone? I hope she goes home during the DE
The only thing Christine can see is that she is the only girl in her alliance, and as such, feels she is the center of attention with the guys. Not to be rude, but you can tell by looking at her that she probably isnt used to getting alot of male attention. She will sacrifice her whole game if she thinks one of the guys will like her more for doing so. Sad.

Oh, Janet, that brings back fond memories of my friend Linda from Calgary–I can still hear her saying that and wishing she were still around so I could talk with her again.

My experience with the English (Brits as you say)
was best filled on a Southern Caribbean Cruise.
There was a large group, about 300 people, from
England and was I on a learning curve as on such cruises
people rarely stay to themselves. It is a grand reunion of people
you never met. A quirk at its best. Thus, “bloody idiot” was a
new one for me at the time. A very different culture for sure.
I was blindsided to take a ship sponsored shore trip on one
of the islands that I “thought” was an intended all day snorkeling venture.
At least a dozen of the gang were from England.
We hit the tour guides meeting place and did all that was expected, but
there was about three hours left with what I thought was nothing to do.
WRONG They told us we could spend a few hours on some neat
beach with crystal waters and pristine sand, thus we followed. (no choice really)
With a nice cool drink in one hand I ventured to the beach and near fell.
Everybody was nude or topless! Culture shock at its high
point, but it was more entertaining when all the Brits took all their clothes off.
The toughest part was sitting with these same people at
dinners and the on board pool etc after the days end. I love England. 🙂
Bloody Idiot is one of my favorite ones…My dad used that quite often.

I grew up saying “eh” with several great Canadian friends.
Surrounded by about 400 years of history made for quite an arena of the actual places we all read in our history books. From Plymouth Rock to the old North Church, Paul Revere and even the Salem Witches! Harvard and M.I.T. added to the mix. Basketball and Volleyball Halls of Fame, Smith and Wesson, Savage Arms, and my favorite get-a-way for tranquility: Cape cod.

mine was such a melting pot, one could be with people from a great deal of backgrounds. That was an education the best University in the world could not give you.
I think I told this story before on this board but one summer which I spent in Madison, Wisconsin, I met a woman who prided herself on being able to pinpoint where someone was from by just listening to them speak. She asked me what part of Canada I was from.

Well, for one, she’s married. So her husband obviously saw something that’s he’s attracted to. Secondly, look who she’s working with..Frankie is gay, Derrick is married (and not attractive) Zach isn’t attractive (and his attitude doesn’t help that matter at all, hence the reason she hates him) and then there’s Cody, attractive, but kinda boring and doesn’t seem like her type, anyway. I don’t think she’s looking for the kind of male attention you’re describing. I think she is working with a strong group and wants to be seen as an equal. But as mrk says, that’s JMHO. And more power to her if she has the balls to work those glasses like a boss. That said, I still don’t like her much from a game standpoint.

People base too much on looks. It’s the actual person, their personalities that matter above all, to me at least.
With Christine her look was the first thing that I noticed, only because she looks alot like my Brothers wife and she can be very annoying….low and behold Christine turned out to be Andyish! 😉
I respect your opinion, Jess. I just feel we disagree in part. I do want to clarify myself to say that I never said Christine was unworthy or unattractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! But we all know there are certain males & females who naturally attract attention of the opposite sexual interest, and those who do not. I’m simply saying she does not seem to me to be one of those drop dead gorgeous divas who brush off male attention like it was nothing. Last night she giggled like a school girl as she told Cody that on day 2, she and Nicole discussed how he was the best looking guy they had ever seen, not just in BB! It’s very obvious that she is smitten as a kitten. I would also disagree that she is working with a strong group. Physically, perhaps. Mentally? LOL! Derrick is the only one in the group who has a clue as to what is going on. Zach appears to be in need of medication, Frankie is on a publicity tour, Caleb is hosting the Caleb show, and Cody is there to fluff the women and keep them smiling. But like I’ve always said, any strategy that gets you to the end of the game, is a good one! 🙂

I will not rebut your opinion or commentary on Donny. “Birds of a feather flock”. I simply have had a gut feeling he is hiding something from the beginning. Everybody loves Donny, I have a slight distrust. Really do not know what else to tell you.
I’m all for people going with their gut feeling. It’s usually correct. Your distrust of Donny is about the same as my distrust of Derrick. Derrick has an excellent game but i just don’t think we are seeing the complete Derrick. Or maybe i should say the “true” one. He has done too many little things that make me think he’s actually trying to pull the wool over the eyes of not just the hgs…but us also. I guess you can say that is my gut feeling about HIM.
I feel exactly that way about Nicole! There is just something about her that I can not warm up to. I do like Donny of course. 😉

Did you see the interview they did with Donny’s family and his girlfriend? Maybe you were still away and missed it, but if you saw it you’d know he’s the real thing, what you see is what you get.
I saw the interview during my “catch up time”.
I have never been a Donny fan and dont get why others are so gung ho Donny. Now Ive said this before but I think this goes hand in hand with what you are saying. I dont think he is “hiding” anything but I do think he is more then just a nice guy. I dont like that he didnt do the TA challenge. I dont think it would have caused any problems to his game to just put a birdie in someones ear that “maybe” it was someone else. This caused Derrick and Frankie to loose $5,000 and I dont think that is right. I have been watching BB for years and want someone who has really played the game to win. Thats not Donny…. JMHO of course… 🙂
I for one thought he did the right thing. I understand it’s a game but he didn’t feel right about it. It would have messed up his game and I for one am glad that the didn’t ‘sell his soul for $$’ That if course is just my own personal opinion. I would love to see someone win BB by playing as clean and honest game as they can. So far Donny has done that! Yes, he could be like Derrick and run around casting doubt and suspicions about his competition….or he could be like Frankie who runs around telling everyones secrets to everyone all the while playing like he is their best friend…I could go on and on but to summarize, I appreciate that Donny is trying to play a clean (as clean as you can get for BB) game and standing by his moral compass. Team Donny here!!!

I guess what is different about you and I is that im not Team Anyone. I dont 100% agree with the way anyone is playing. I think there can be a mix of everyones game. Of everyone I guess if I had to pick it would be Derrick or maybe Hayden…Nicole? lol idk I find good and bad qualities in everyone. What is so different with Donny making Frankie feel like he is safe but knowing if he was put up he would back door him in a heart beat vs. him saying hey maybe Caleb voted to keep Amber? I guess its everyones different perception of the game. To each his own.
I guess i would have to take a page from your book and say i’m not Team Anyone. There are a couple of people that have a good read on the house and can strategize effectively but no one that strikes a chord with me so much that i would say i’m on their “team”. I do like Donny but he still needs to prove he has what it takes. But a very telling statement was when he told Derrick “lets not let greed get in the way of common sense” concerning the TA mission. I happen to agree with that. It is not his persona to cast blame. Maybe if they had been allowed to cast the blame at a later date (the next day – or within the week) he could have done so safely. But the task was to be completed after the eviction and before the HOH comp. Very suspicious to do something out of character. They all speak about each other behind their backs. Even Donny. The only difference is he’s usually correct in his assessment. He won’t win the game. And that’s ok with me. But i’m hoping Hayden can pull it off. I’d much rather see Hayden take home the prize than Derrick. I just can’t get behind someone that uses lies on a daily basis in his career. Practice makes perfect. And putting an expert against a novice seems like an unfair advantage for him. And that hardly makes for an initial level playing field.
Once again Cat you are able to put things in a clearer perspective then I can. I agree whole heartedly and can now see your point on Donny throwing the mission… I still stand by my feelings of him but with a better feeling about that point. I also completely agree on your feeling of Derrick 100%! I never thought of it that way. I’m all for Hayden winning but all in all I love the game no matter what or who wins it 🙂
I don’t fault Donny for not doing the challenge. In the first TA challenge, Frankie didn’t do a thing-just sat back and let Donny & Derrick do all the work, then collected the money. Frankie and Derrick could’ve done the challenge without Donny just like Frankie did. Not sure but I don’t think TA HAS to be 100%, does it? I have no problem with Zach either. I did in the beginning but that was before i saw what kind of game he plays. And although strategy wize it’s not the best, he does create drama. If anyone really wants to understand Zach they should check out the interview his parents did. You can find it on Youtube. It’s very interesting.

I do love that show, but for once, I wish they’d quit trying to turn a normal show with interesting characters into some sort of deep-mystery with every character going off the deep end! (And I’m sorry, but if Vic and Walt start sleeping together … I’m done. Just lame writing.)

No idea. My gut tells me he was ready for him and Branch shot his father. Just not sure if they want Branch’s character there another season. I just wish that whole Walt’s-wife’s-murder story line was O-VER. Now they’re implying Walt is going to kill the wrong man for his wife’s death…. Could we just get back to the quiet sheriff who is smart and follows Indian traditions, and who solves crimes and refuses to use cell phones?! How about some quirky town folk for a change instead of a deputy who has marriage problems and a stalker, and another deputy who is losing his mind!

I cannot wait for the boys to vote out Christine. She is the dumbest player. I’m so disappointed that Frankie isn’t getting the back door this week. Christine reminds me of those girls in school who do whatever the guys say or want just so they’ll like her, when all they actually want from those type of girls is to use them and abuse them. She really thinks that she’s doing something so grand, but all she’s really doing is sealing her own fate. Now the boys will have all the power again and they have probably lost their chance to dwindle down those boys numbers. What a bleeping bleep!

That’s what it did to me too. So annoying! They always show programs on Sundays that go overtime. I should have remembered that from last year. I’ve extended my recordings for BB.
Yes that happened to us a couple of times, so now we extend it by 30 minutes or more. Sucks when you forget. But I have my buds here to let me know what happened.

Watching #BBAD and I guess Zach told Frankie about Derrick,Cody and Zach final three. Frankie was upset and confronted derrick. Derrick used this to his advantage to get Frankie to say he is good with getting Zach out! He told Cody, Nicole and Victoria. Idk I agree but it seemed like Derrick was trying hard to push a Zach eviction.
Zach will talk his way out of this sticky situation, tomorrow they will be bumping shoulders and fists… all will be well.

I’m exhausted. Exhausted watching these people flip flop for the last 3 days. It seems now they are going to vote Zach out. But don’t be too hasty and get your popcorn ready for a Zach Attack just yet. Tomorrow is another day. And these little hamsters just might spin that wheel in the other direction again. I wish Thursday would hurry along.
So agree. I’ve never seen so many people make so many alliances and tell so many lies. They move from one room to the other – most of them – continually. It’s exhausting to watch! I’ve no idea how they keep the lies straight!! (And by “they”, I generally mean Frankie, Derrick, Cody, Zach, and Christine.)

Indecent Exposure
A blonde is walking down the street with her blouse open and her right breast hanging out. A policeman approaches her and says, “Ma’am, are you aware that I could cite you for indecent exposure?”
She says, “Why, officer?”
“Because your breast is hanging out.”
She looks down and says, “OH MY GOODNESS! I left the baby on the bus again!”
This morning i saw a pic of Caleb wearing his camo hat. He had his head tilted back so you could see the inside of the bill of the cap. He had Ambers name taped to it , as well as his own. And he was talking about how many fans he will have and how much Ambers parents probably love him. And this was YESTERDAY!!
