|The real test of who is going home for the week on Big Brother 2014 comes on Mondays and the Veto Meeting, which was just held in the Big Brother 16 house. The HGs come up with a plan of attack over the weekend, but then it all depends on how the Veto Meeting goes and if it is used on someone and then what the HoH decides to do with renoms. We saw some glimmer of hope during the past day, as Cody mentioned putting up Frankie as the renom today. I mean, he mentioned having a college degree last night on the show on CBS, so he claims to be smart. If only he could act on his own and not just think on his own (every once in a while). The smart move: get rid of Christine or Frankie this week. The house’s move: get rid of Donny. So, no veto was used and the nominees remained the same.

At this point the only thing we have to look forward to is voting No on TA’s stupid mission and to see if they vilify each other when they don’t have Donny or Nicole to abuse. Somehow, even that may not be enough to keep us tuned in. Just don’t want to miss the FF vote. Donny all the way!!!!

It took me all day to read all the posts and comments from this weekend….took me dang near all day to do (work be damned!) Guess I need to try harder to get on here and chat with ya’ll over the weekends.
Well Cat, at least I wasn’t subjected to that farce of a ‘play’……..I will definitely be voting NO for mission accomplished. Also, I will find every electronic source to vote Donny for Fan Favorite when that time comes. I can hear my daughter now….”really mom?!” as I make her use all her devices to vote for Donny LOL

LOL Mary, you’re not out of the woods yet. That was on BBAD Sun. nite … What they’re doing in the house between Sunday and sometime Tuesday/Wednesday won’t be shown on TV until Wednesday night. Most of the comps (except the live HOH’s and evictions on Thursdays) are done a day or two or even three in advance of the air date so they have time to edit what’s been filmed.
Jo, if she would ever like to visit Texas, all I would charge is a few hours of her computer expertise! 😉
well there goes any hope of this season having a turn around…Todd or Cat is it possible that Pandora’s Box will come into play before Thursday and maybe give us a little more hope?
I wish there was a secret room that Donny would find the clues to and lead to the coup de te (spelling?) like they had on BBC! (no coup de te in BBC, just wishing for Donny)
In BB Canada they had a secret room that they gave clues to and found a “special veto” where they could use it at anytime on themselves or someone else – BB16 should do this twist and blow everyone away on Thursday – LOL
I will take great pleasure watching Frankie turn on Derrick and Cody and get them out first. Of course, then, I hope SOMEone is still in the house to get Frankie out…. And Christine…. And Caleb…. Worthless Floater Victoria for the win!

Predictable. Like the whole season. I expect Donny to go out with dignity. Even if he slings a little mud their way it will be subtle. And to the point. And true. I feel like they’ve just killed off my favorite character in my favorite drama. You could see it coming…..but dreaded the moment. And now that the moment is nearly upon us….i’m mourning the loss of a true “character”. Someone we rarely come across in the narcissistic world of television. Goodbye Donny. We will always love you for showing us how to play and live with honor. And we will reward you in the end. But it’s not nearly what you deserve.

Speaking for myself, Cat must be a mind reader. She writes exactly what we are thinking. I am not that good at writing all the things that pop into my head and make them come out as well expressed as Cat can. I wish I had that talent. Unfortunately I am more of an expressive person rather then a vocal person. That is why I would not succeed at playing Big Brother. Cat would crush it though.

Yes, Kristina, and the hgs are using whatever they can say about Donny (lies) to make themselves feel better or justified about they way they are treating him and evicting him. I fully expect at least some of them to do a happy dance when he leaves. I hope CBS stacks that audience with true fans and they bring down the roof with applause!!
Yea, Lilly, it’s sickening to see Christine up in the HOH room spying on Donny and Nicole and calling Donny a weirdo. She is the weirdo if you ask me. She was eating something like yogurt and saw Cody looking at her and she felt she had to explain to him that she couldn’t put the whole spoonful in her mouth at one time so she had to eat it a little at a time like she does. Cody didn’t even say anything about the way she was eating, but apparently she is aware of how stupid she looks doing that. I mentioned it weeks ago and no one else commented on it, but I find it disgusting. The only thing that should come back out of your mouth after you put it in is a sucker. Her mouth is plenty big enough to hold a whole spoonful of yogurt. Give me a break.
I finally saw her do that the other night. I used to do something similar when eating mashed potatoes as a kid. (I was just reeeeeally loving those creamy potatoes!) I would take two or three “licks” to eat one fork full of potatoes. But my mother made me stop doing it because it was a disgusting habit. That said, even I didn’t take about FIVE licks to clean one bite of potatoes off my fork like she was doing. She was dabbing dots of it on the tip of her tongue! It was really weird!!
Well, thank you! I’m glad someone else saw it! Yes, it’s about 5 times for each spoonful. You were a kid, what’s her excuse? Oh, yeah, her little mouth is too small for a whole teaspoon. lol I didn’t see her dotting her tongue, thank goodness. Lilly, I think you would have stopped on your own by the time you were an adult. Especially if you were a married adult with a husband who has to watch you eat. Ugh!!!!

With tears in my eyes I say, BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO!!!!!!
My boyfriend and I were talking about BB and I told him how predictable BB has become and that all the HG’s sit around and wait for all of the same old things that BB drags out every year, like Pandora’s Box and movie and candy rewards and good old slop, etc., etc. ad infinitum. He said that they should have something like Survivor has and come up with hidden immunity idols that they would leave clues to hidden somewhere in the house. Of course, the HG’s would tear the house up even more than it is now looking for it, but it would give us viewers some hope when all is lost. Now that Donny is definitely going home Thursday, my only hope hangs on Nicole. She could win HOH and get one of the big players out before they take revenge on her the next week and put her up. Then she could win POV and take herself down and the new HOH would have to pick off one of their own. I am still on the unpopular side of liking Frankie and I admit I laughed my head off at the skit that they put together. I thought it was quite clever and I loved Derrick’s imitation of Jocasta. That’s the one I laughed at the most, although Christine’s imitation of Paolo was pretty funny, too. It was kind of reminiscent of Saturday Night Live and I always have had a sick sense of humor so that fit right in with my type of humor. So even though I am a lonely little petunia in an onion patch, I still have to stick to my opinion, however unpopular it may be. After Nicole leaves, though, there is really no one left that I want to see win. I agree that people should not be allowed to play for charity in the Big Brother house. I think that’s totally inappropriate. It goes against the whole concept of Big Brother and the game as we know it. I don’t want Victoria to win because I think she has spent the entire time flirting with Derrick and she acts more and more like a jealous girlfriend. She was talking to him the other night and someone came in and he started to tell them what they’d been talking about and she shrieked at him that he was telling their secret conversations and how she didn’t appreciate that. Girl has gone off the deep end. Hoping for a miracle still for Donny.
I knew he would wuss out on making a big move he can’t think for himself actually none other can except for Donny and that’s why they want him gone
“When you wish upon a star” … I’ll be doing that tonight. I’m truly hoping that Nicole is sent back to the jury house where she can continue exploring her friendship with Hayden and that Donny has another week to turn it around for himself. It would be great for him to win HOH. (Most of the time I’m optimistic, hope this time it works out for Donny.)
I hate to see either one left alone with those robots and their master — I am almost to the point where I would like them both to go to the jury house where they will be treated with the love and respect they both deserve ’cause I do not see any of those robots (and their master) deviating from their–oops! I mean Derrick’s–plan.

Lilly i saw Kristine herself say that this was a legit site. She’s associating herself with it. A couple of hours ago she did a podcast with Jessie (BB15) and Amber and verified that it’s safe to give on this site. That came from HER mouth.
Figured you wouldn’t have shared without being 99% sure yourself. They had $1090 when I was there a couple of hours ago. Not too bad in a a day! They’re just asking for $1 per fan who loves Donny, but every one I saw gave between $5 and 25. And ALL the comments reflect exactly what we’ve been saying here. Pretty cool!

We were able to see an interview with Kristine and Donny’s parents a few weeks ago. Just from that brief interview, I would say that Kristine and Christine are nothing alike. Of course, it was just an interview but she seemed to be at least 100x better than the one in the house.

Guess I’m up watching this train wreck alone…. Check the feeds between 11:00 and 11:10 pm CDT. In fact, they said more after Frankie’s little slip, but I was too busy typing. They went to commercial right as Derrick was leaving the bathroom at 11:11 pm CDT (of course, that is with the time delay … but it may be the same on BBAD as the feeds).
Don’t know which is more startling … the fact that Donny MAY be staying this week (maybe…) or the fact that we have PROOF that production is trying to influence Frankie and Derrick to save him! I’m sure they’ve gotten wind of the anti-TA assignment blow-back. I’m betting they hinted to Frankie that his little production was NOT going to earn them $5000, and that maybe Donny’s suggested TA assignment WOULD.

CAT & TODD: Just saw on another BB site the rumor is there will be no America’s Favorite player this year because of the money earned/spent on TA. That makes a certain amount of sense if you believe CBS has reeeeeally become invested in keeping Donny in the house to stem the tide against all this Donny eviction blow-back. (See my post from an hour ago, or BB feeds at 11:00 pm CDT.) Can you imagine the fallout if Donny is evicted AND can’t earn the $$ of AFP?!?!

I agree girl. Each morning I come in now I dread reading the posts and seeing what they have done now to our great Donny. It is terrible the way they are treating him. What a bunch of wuss’s with no back bone. Bullies.
To be fair, it could be a rumor; don’t get discouraged yet! (We only have so many things to hang on to hope right now!) On the other hand, we’ve never had anything like TA – especially lasting this long. I thought it would go away after about 3-4 weeks. We’ll see what Todd and Cat know. They have more of an ear to the ground than I do!!
I understand it’s just a rumor, but at my age, I’ve learned there is usually truth to so called “rumors”. But I haven’t given up yet.
Lilly, i’ve been hearing the rumor that there will be no FF for about 3 weeks. I didn’t want to say anything because i can’t confirm it. But it’s been brought up in numerous places. Even Donnys girlfriend Kristine says she has heard the same thing. I suspect there may be some truth to it. But if CBS keeps their eyes on the fan pages then it would behoove them to change their mind. A move like getting rid of FF just when we have a favorite we can all get behind would, imo, damage their reputation.

I know I have “threatened” not to watch anymore because of this crummy season but I said pretty much the same after last year’s fiasco and here I am (red-faced and all). However, if this does happen, I will NOT watch next year. It might not make any difference to CBS but I could gain a little self-respect.

There have been a few seasons that I stopped watching everything when the only ones left in the house were people I couldn’t stand to watch and didn’t want to see win. The best example is the season when Evil Dick and his spawn were the final two. People didn’t believe that I would stop watching, but I had wasted enough of my time and wasn’t going to waste any more watching those two. Now people seem to really like Evil Dick. Funny how people’s perceptions change over the years. I will probably stop watching at some point this year, too, but I’ll be back next year with a hopeful heart.
I saw a site where there were votes for FF and the winner will be announced at the Finally show. All voting is know closed, but they did have it.
Lots of websites take polls to find out who the fans are leaning towards. The ONLY official poll will be on the CBS website. And they will announce it on air when voting begins. Julie hasn’t even hinted towards it yet. And if she does it won’t be until the last week of the show.

Are you sure it was CBS? I doubt they would put something on their webpage without telling the fans. Julie ALWAYS says voting is open for fan favorite when it is time. I’m not doubting you, just saying i don’t think they would take THE official poll without announcing it on air. Plus i read comments all over the web and NO ONE has yet to mention anything about a FF poll on CBS. I would think people would be shouting about who should win if voting was open.

I cannot wait for the HG’s to hear the response Donny gets on Thursday night. I’d be happy if Donny’s entire interview with Julie is nothing but cheers, applause and chanting Donny! Donny! Donny!. Poor Donny would probably be a puddle of happy tears knowing that that many people love him and were rooting for him. I haven’t been watching BB for as long as most of you here, but I think it’s safe to say that there hasn’t been a more kind, genuine, humble and loveable contestant as he is. I know this season has been a huge disappointment, but at least we had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know a person like Donny, and if you ask me, that in itself makes all the disappointment worth it. Sure, he didn’t win like we all hoped he would, but I feel that he’s a shoe-in for Fan Favorite and I think that means far more to him than the 500k. So, thank you, Donny Thompson for showing us that dignity and integrity are more important that any amount of money ever could be.

Anyone see this “The editors have spoken: Just six weeks before the 29th cycle of Survivor is set to premiere, the long-running reality hit’s editing team has gone on strike. Sources say the Guild notified the Survivor producers that their editors wanted a union contract and requested that negotiations start immediately. When their letter did not receive a reply, the editors went on strike. As first reported by a Deadline, the roughly two dozen employees are primarily seeking health coverage and pension benefits. So now they are saying the show may be delayed. Leave it to CBS hay. What a joke.
I heard about the strike a while ago but I also heard they made a settlement and everything’s a go!

They had it on the news but hey, things seem to change daily with CBS so I hope what heard hasn’t changed yet again.
I’m sure there are a lot of people out there that would do their jobs if they don’t like what they got when they got hired. I hate hearing about people going on strike when there are so many unemployed people in the US……I personally know a lot of people that would love to do the job these people do and would do it for less than what they are getting paid.
