Big Brother 2015 Live Recap: Premiere – New HGs and First HoH
|If you put your ear up to your computer, then you can probably hear me screaming in excitement as the Big Brother 2015 premiere is about to kick off! It has been a pretty slow off-season and I am beyond ready to see what these new Houseguests on Big Brother 17 are going to bring to the table. We all hold out hope for a great season every year, but will CBS deliver? Time will tell, but we have the new HGs arriving tonight and the first HoH competition of the season, so follow along with my Big Brother 2015 Live Recap and see who won Head of Household on Big Brother 2015 tonight!

As my preview for the Big Brother 17 premiere showed us, we will have the first Head of Household competition, but how many HGs will be participating in it? We have all seen the video interviews with the cast, but I am interested to see how they interact with each other. Fingers crossed for an amazing season and it all kicks off shortly!

Here we go…Julie Chen is in the house and she looks good with that longer hair and all down! She said they are introducing three twists this season: one is a fan favorite, one the audience knows and the other is the BB Takeover. Now time to meet the first eight HGs tonight, so we are having two move-ins?
The first 8 are:
- James – He said people are going to underestimate him with his size.
- Meg – She has a gay husband and is very bubbly.
- Jace – He is a daredevil and wants to use that on the show.
- Audrey – She said she is a girls girl, but competitive and looking to surprise people.
- Austin – We hear about his alter ego, Judas, again and he will be the one manipulating people.
- Da’Vonne – She said she wants to be covered in all angles of the house and doesn’t mind blood on her hands or even up to her neck.
- Clay – He lives on a farm and is a family guy. And they make him throw the football around with no shirt on, which I don’t mind seeing!
- Shelli – She is absolutely a girly girl, but not afraid to take things into her own hands.
Meg said superfans scare her. Audrey wants to keep the slides of all the HGs she has had a hand in evicting (love it). The HGs are all packed up and heading to the house and now in the studio with Julie!!! She said it is record-breaking 98 days this season. The first four to enter are Da’Vonne, Shelli, Clay and Austin. Isn’t there the first person in the house jinx??? That was Da’Vonne, so I am not happy!
The other four enter the house. James is upset the fridge is not stocked with beer! Audrey said she is about to tell her big secret for the first time to complete strangers. The HGs get their champagne and time to tell everyone a little about each other. Jace jokes about being a pedicab driver. Shelli is in love with Clay. Clay and Shelli both had heart murmurs, so just go into the bedroom and do it already. Da’Vonne said she is a second grade teacher and not a poker dealer. James seems funny and he is into Meg! Audrey tells everyone that she is transgendered and I got chills. They are all accepting and Clay looks shocked. Such a great moment to see such acceptance!
Shelli, Da’Vonne and Audrey chat and they want women to do good this season. They like the vibe and think it is a good move to make an alliance among them. Oh lord, alliances already! Audrey continues her story and troubles with her family early on and Da’Vonne is loving it, as it adds to the story and her sympathy, so work it out!
TWISTS –
- Fan Favorite – Battle of the Block is back. Did we really like it that much? We will have two HoHs again and they each nominate two HGs and they compete in the Battle of the Block. The winning pair will dethrone the HoH that nominated them and they will come off the block.
Julie said it is time for the first HoH competition of the season, but one of them will be sitting out! They talk about it and Da’Vonne volunteers, as long as they don’t nominate her. They agree, but what does this mean?
HOH COMPETITION – It is a movie premiere and Kevin Frazier from Entertainment Tonight is there to introduce the competition. He asks them some questions, but time to get this started. It is a film premiere and it has gotten horrible reviews. They will have tomatoes thrown at them and the first to catch ten tomatoes will win HoH. Gall off the platform and you are out!
The platform starts moving and we see Jace, Meg and Austin all fall down! Jace almost falls, but he makes a big save and James is in the lead with three tomatoes. It is tied with 5 tomatoes for Audrey, Jace and James and Shelli has 3. James is like a ninja and grabbing those tomatoes and is up to 8! The board is getting slippery and steeper and then all four of the HGs fall! Now they have to review the footage to see who was the last one to fall! It was James in the lead and the last one to fall, so he wins the first HoH on Big Brother 2015!
OTHER TWIST –
- BB Takeover – A new twist is introduced each week and it will be introduced with some very lame music! Once the music is played, they have to go to the living room and they’ll never know what it is!
The HGs are freaking out and they are all on edge. We still don’t even know what it means for Da’Vonne sitting out!
OTHER TWIST –
- Twin Twist – One of the HGs has an identical twin. They will be switching spots and each playing the game this season. If they can convince the HGs that they are one player and survive the first five evictions, then they both will enter the game and play as individuals! So, who could it be???
We get a sneak peek look at the HGs for tomorrow and only six moving in tomorrow? Julie said we have another BB Takeover and they’ll be bringing game-changing news, so has to be the two other HGs, right???

She’s great, I just wish she’d stop flipping her hair.
She has an air of confidence about her, but she did say that this was the first time that she’s ever announced that she’s transgender out loud, so I just think she’s a bit nervous. I like her.

I really wasn’t impressed with that twist.
My only memory was that the girls were from Alabama and that they made it long enough for both to enter the house as individuals. Who do you think it might be? At least we know it isn’t Audrey!

Shelli has a fraternal twin and Liz has a twin, but neither could pass. Maybe it is one of them that hasn’t announced it, as they want to keep it private from us all?
Liz has an identical twin named Julia. I’m willing to bet they are the pair. I just looked at some pics of them and at least in one of the pics it’s hard to tell them apart.
Adria and Natalie, and they went to Troy State! I was born in Troy… Roll Tide.

So i take it we will be seeing the ghosts of twists past this season. Rather than come up with something new. i suppose they will be throwing all the old twists at us….coup d’etat, Pandoras Box, coaches, pairs (twins), double evictions, the Diamond POV, return of an evicted hg, The Golden Key, etc…..
Maybe having one thrown at us each week might be fun. At least if it’s lame we only have to endure it for a week 🙂

why is that Important?
The only “foul” language was quoting Audrey saying “buckle up b**ches” only I spelled it out. Other than that I used no foul language.

WELL! Shelli is definitely mooning over Clay! She can’t take her eyes off of him. I thought she might stand up and jump on him there for a minute. Showmance anyone? LOL. I can’t decide who I think has a chance of survival yet. I need to see the other HG tonight and watch them all intermingle. One thing I don’t like is the battle of the block twist. UGH! Julie said it was a fan favorite, but I’m not sure where she came up with that idea. Everyone I’ve ever talked to disliked that twist, and I for one think it ruined many of the HG game-play. The twin twist may be interesting. Cat, didn’t they do something like that before? Anyway, I need to watch it tonight to determine my likes and dislikes.
Season 5 – Natalie and Adria. I don’t find the twin twist very amusing. At least i didn’t the first time around.

I seriously…SERIOUSLY…do not like showmances. I can’t think of one in 17 seasons that i thought was a good idea. And the barf factor goes up each time they swap spit. I can’t see Shelli keeping an alliance with Clay secret. Puppy dog eyes are a dead give-away. But it’s early. One night is not enough to judge.

Before reading any of your posts I have to vent! Soooo tired of BB dipping back into the old bag of tricks. Double HOH the twin twist had also already been done with Natalie and Adria, also the 2 part house entry. Can we get new stuff please!?!?!
